*A week later*

Ryan's P.O.V

After about a few days, i finally got my friends to agree with my new plan. There were so many girls entering this and i dont know how Derrick and Greg handle picking out a girl out of the many without making the other girls mad.

Actually scrap that. Some were mad. When Will updated the information about 'The New Higa Project.', we got flooded with messages and comments.

I didn't realise how long i had been reading the comments, and i would've sat there for another hour or so if Sean didn't tell me that it was time to go. This time i was glad i didn't have to fuss about wearing fancy clothing, but i still had to look decent and charming. As said by the charming one himself, Sean.

Today, i was going to do something with a girl named Alicia. (A/N: i really like that name, idk why. But it just makes me happy 🐙) We were going to do whatever fun activity she wanted, as long as it was appropriate. From the photos Derrick and Greg showed me, she had simple jet black hair, and glimmering dark eyes. (A/N: i was thinking about the grudge... WHAT. YES YES YOU CAN CALL ME WEIRD.)

"RYAN!" Sean's voice called out to me, a little too loudly. "SHE'S HERE!" I glanced at myself in the mirror one last time, and straightned my black and white checkered shirt before i made my way downstairs.

Alicia had her back turned to me, and she was talking to Sean animatedly like they had been best friends for years. They hugged before she turned around to face me.

"Hi!" She smiled, and just like Julee she gave me an unexpected hug.

Get Julee out of your mind, Higa. I scolded myself.

"Hey, so your the Alicia everyone's been talking about." I winked at her. "I'm Ryan!"

Alicia laughed. "I know who you are silly!" I blushed when it took me a moment to realise what i had just said. "You're even funnier in person, Higa." She slapped my arm playfully. (A/N: I just love love love saying Higa instead of Ryan 😅💜)

"So where do you wanna go?" i grinned back at her in response. I only realised now, that Sean had left the room.

Alicia swayed her tiny body from side to side and gave me a cheeky smile. "Can i surprise you?" She stood on her tiptoes and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"Uhh, sure." I ran my fingers through my hair. "Are we gonna drive there or...?"

"Nah, we can walk. It's pretty close by." She grabbed ahold of my wrist and led me out the door.

Alicia's P.O.V

I couldn't believe that i was chosen out of the many to have a date with the Ryan Higa. Well, they said they were'nt going to be romantic dates anymore, but i was so happy at this moment. I'm going to make the most out of this.

I led Ryan out the door, and we headed to the park. We chatted about our interests and things that we disliked. He cracked so many jokes, that by the time we got to the park, my stomach and cheeks hurt from laughing so hard.

I tried to stop giggling. "So we're here." We stopped in front of a park next to a lake. There was no one around, and the lake seemed peaceful and quiet. Ryan turned to look at me.

"You could've told me we were going to have a picnic. I would've bought along a huge basket of food!" He furrowed his eyebrows together. I thought it was cute.

"We're not going to have a picnic." I looked up at him. Damn, he was so tall. He looked down on me and gave me a cute confused look. My heart could've probably exploded right at that moment. "Today, we're going row boat riding!"

"Hmm, sounds fun!" Ryan stroked his chin. "Where are we getting the boat though?"

"I have a friend where we can rent his row boat." I held onto his hand this time. I hope he didn't mind. "Come on!"

"Thanks Bob!" I thanked him as he helped us to push the boat into the water. "We'll return your row boat by 5!"

"Bye, Alicia!" He waved. (A/N: BYE FELICIA 😂😂😂) "Bye, Ryan!" We both waved and gave him another round of thanks before we paddled the row boat into the lake. It took us a while to get to the middle, and we both laugh and giggled at how bad we were at rowing.

The boat kept swaying, and i was nervous that we were going to tip over, because our laughing wasn't making the situation any better. I looked out to the shore, where it looked so distant. It felt like Ryan and i were the only people left in the world.

An awkward silence filled the air, and Ryan broke it by clearing his throat.

"Can we um, take a photo?" He looked at me shyly. "You're very beautiful."

Wait what did he just say?

"Uh-uh, i mean, the view is beautiful.. and uh i want a photo of us together with it." He stuttered.

Oh.

"I mean, you're pretty too.." He blabbered. I put a finger to his mouth and cracked a smile. Taking my phone out of my pocket, i carefully sat beside him on the seat of the row boat.

"Shut up and let's just take it." I smiled for the camera. "Say.. TEEHEE!"

Ryan laughed, causing him to move. I looked at the photo we had just taken and it was perfect to me. In the photo, he had a huge smile on his face, his eyes crinkled in laughter, and i was close beside him with the same expression. We both looked at the phone in my hands, our heads close together.

All of a sudden we both looked up at the same time. For a moment, our eyes locked and Ryan leaned closer and closer...
