RAY'S OCCULT
"It was exactly the same thing- you have to believe me!" Phoebe insisted.
Podcast sat in a chair, nodding. "I do believe you, it just seems absolutely insane. I have so many questions."
"You think I don't either?" Phoebe retorted.
Podcast's face scrunched at her response, "Moody much," He muttered, His comment drowned out as Ray returned, "Alright, keep the stuff on the table. No touching."
Phoebe's teddy bear and Melody's empty match pack were laid on the table.
"Touchy." Podcast joked, playfully reaching
out to poke the objects. Ray lightly swatted his hand away. They both chuckled, finding amusement in it but Phoebe remained serious. In Ray's other hand was a PKE meter. Phoebe yawned."Alright, so you say these objects hold emotional significance, and they were closest to you when the episode happened," Ray summarized.
"Mhm."
He took that as a cue to start scanning them. First he scanned over the stuffed bear. The reading wasn't particularly high but it still showed up. Then, he checked the matches and there wasn't any energy attached to them. Phoebe felt a wave of emotion though she managed to keep herself silent.
"Hm. Well," Ray began, pointing the PKE meter away to the left, in the direction Phoebe was standing, "That just means it's something el—" Before he could finish, the meter suddenly lit up completely, shaking slightly. Ray blinked in surprise.
Phoebe felt the pit of dread form in her stomach. "What is picking up?" Podcast asked.
Ray was quiet for a moment, pondering. He slowly walked over to Phoebe and scanned her, finding extremely high levels of PKE.
"Hey Phoebe?" Ray said.
"Yes Ray?" Her voice tangled with anticipation.
"Can you step to the side?" He requested.
She nodded slightly and complied. As she moved, the meter returned to being lifeless. A gentle look of curiosity and concern washed over Ray's face. "Well that's odd.. You don't feel any different, do ya'..?" He asked carefully.
Phoebe hestatited for a moment, then shifted back to her original spot. As she did, the meter came back to life. "No I- don't think so." She replied with uncertainty, "I'm not sure."
"You're not sure? Phoebe, this is not the time for a 'I'm not sure,' 'I don't know'!" Podcast exclaimed dramatically.
"I'm not." She replied gently, firm with her answer.
