[Filler chapter to replace the Cardin mini-arc. Unimportent but I feel a small breath of air would be nice before moving forward.]
"Hey," Ruby spoke up, drawing the attention of her team and the members of team ANLN(Minus Y/n) as they studied for their first Grimm Studies test. "Where's Y/n?" It started as a simple question but as the seven teenagers looked around in confusion all of them seemed to realize that none of them knew his location.
"I don't actually know," Weiss started with a ponderous gaze. "The last time we talked was when I was tutoring him yesterday."
"He had already left the dorms when I woke up," Pyrrha noted to which Ren and Nora nodded along.
"I had a spar with him last night but other than that I haven't seen him recently either," Yang added.
The gazes turn to Blake, who's the most into her studies. Well actually she's secretly reading her favorite book but the rest of them don't need to know that. She looks up and shakes her head, "I last saw him talking with those upperclassmen girls he recently befriended." A small glare grows across Weiss' face while a small bit of worry creeped along Pyrrha's.
"Wait," Yang butted in, "he's hanging with upperclassmen?" The two girls noted before looked to Blake with gazes that urged her to keep going.
She hummed as she placed the book down, "Yes. The rabbit girl from the other day after he had slammed the lunch tray into Winchester and another girl whom I assume is on her team."
Nora giggled at the memory as Ruby and Yang got a small chuckle out of it. "Ah yeah that'd make sense..." Yang mused satisfied with Blake's response. Though Pyrrha and Weiss were left with more questions.
Ruby took a pause before speaking again, "Wait then that means that nobody has seen Y/n at all today?" After getting a round of nods from the six others in the library she scratched the back of her neck, "What do you think he's up to?"
Nora shrugged, "Dunno. Probably hanging around town like he usually does when he disappears." Everyone looks her way, including the members of her team, "Oh you two didn't know?"
"No. I-" A quick glance to and nod from Ren, "We didn't know where Y/n was sneaking off to at all. We just knew he was always disappearing. I thought he was taking his tutoring sessions with Weiss."
"So you know where he goes? Do you know what he does in town," Yang asked.
MEANWHILE
Y/n sat in one of the booth's in Junior's club as he chilled out and listened to the club music. This time around he was wearing a Montsuki, a male kimono, with the same designs we've all come to accept. Black with gold trim and accompanied by a fur trimmed cape to complete the look. Why is he wearing such an outfit? Well for one that's a silly question. Y/n is a dandy man, a fashionista, or whatever ya feel like referring to such a man with a love for fashion. Secondly, he had just learned that the two gals he had somehow made friends with after apologizing for kicking them into next week were from Mistral... SO he thought it'd be fitting to wear something nice while hanging out with them tonight. Speaking of, here they come.
WE RETURN
"Hmmmmmm nope. Never told me that. Guess the only reason I know where he's going is cuz he accidently woke me up on his way out one time."
Ruby furrows her brow before her eyes begin to sparkle. A sentiment she shares with Yang as they lock eyes and nod, "Detective time! Next time he goes out lets follow him!"
"Yeah! Who knows what a guy like Y/n is getting up to. Oooo maybe he joined a fight club and that's why he's so secretive," Yang added excitedly.
Weiss scoffed in response to the sisters, "That would be a clear invasion of privacy you two." Her eyes rolled as she gave it a bit of thought, "That being said, I believe it is important to know if Armeria is getting up to anything of a deviant nature..." She mumbled, more so in an attempt to convince herself to go along with them.
