"You're no ordinary crows right?" Kenma chuckled at how they seemed to understand his words.

With a stick in hand, he digs his Zori sandal into a rock going uphill on the mountain.

Kenma heavily breathes with each step, "You guys are so lucky...I want your wings..."

His hair stuck to his face from all the sweat, Kenma had to take another break as his fatigue grew the further he went on.

The crow with a beige scarf bit his socked ankle.

"—Hey!"

A crow with a green scarf pecked at the beige-scarfed crow as if it were scolding it for its actions.

Kenma grumbles, "I won't sit, it'll be a quick breather, stupid crow."

The fog grew before them, the tall trees around them were standing sticks at this point and incoming footsteps jolt Kenma out of his leaned-over state.

"My guide told me that magic is prohibited..." Kenma held his stick out like a sword, "crows, stay back."

Kenma's brows knit and held his sword high around his face, pointing at the foggy figure walking towards him.

The figure hummed, "I initially took you as someone who doesn't care about anything...guess I was wrong." A refreshing voice called out to the spirit as the crows fluttered towards him.

'This guy...!'

He draws his sword away from the figure, from what Kenma could tell, it was far from a human.

"Hello there!" A enormous white snake greets Kenma with its tongue sticking out.

Dumfounded, Kenma's jaw dropped.

"Up here," He calls out, "and to my knowledge, (Y/n) has already met with Daichi, and all that's left is you."

He appears out of the fog with a gentle smile, waving at Kenma from the white snake's head with piercing red eyes.

Kenma notes that he adorns a mole under his left eye as his hair matches the light gray fog in their surrounding.

The hazel-eyed male leaps down, his loose hakama of light green bottoms and beige top gracefully dragged down as he lands on the dirt path filled with twigs and stones.

Then, the unknown male's snake twirls around him until it wraps around his neck, reducing from its gigantic size.

The light-haired male places a hand over his chest and turns his socked zori sandal behind his pointed foot, "The God of Powdered Sugar, Sugawara, is at your service." He bows.

Kenma quietly gasps, "Did you just use...magic?"

Sugawara flicks his wrist, "Caution was practiced when Ushijima was near, you know the ocean waves you hear are because of that eyesore."

His golden eyes shoot open, Kenma had never heard other gods dissing each other. The belief of respect he held onto, fragments even further.

The gray-haired male reaches into his light sage pant pocket and fans away the heavy fog, "We've got to get a move on to get the communications system going!"

Kenma nods at the god with a funny purpose tagged onto his name.

"Right."
____________

"I request new clothing and a weapon for my spirit and I," (Y/n) sweetly raised her voice, "It shall act as a welcoming gift."

Daichi rests in a relaxed crisscross position with his head relaxed on the palm of his hand. The Eboshi hat he wears stands tall on its side.

"I'd like to know your motives, Star god." The Wind god began.

The candle flames danced at his great demand as if they flickered at the intensity of his naturally masculine voice.

(Y/n) sighs in annoyance, "Here you go again..."

"Well, this is my realm you're trespassing in, I can have you leave this realm naked or face execution." He advises with a stern undertone.

The Star god covers herself to the best of her abilities, she rests her hot head on her brought-up knees, and her exposed back faces him.

She yells with a venomous tongue, "I only came for the treatment and the communications system!"

"Quit being a pest Daichi!" (Y/n) stomps on the tatami flooring.

With the jab of her words, Daichi raises a brow, "Oh?"

"Doesn't the completion of the communications system bring our skies together through Star linkage magic?" The crow tengu taunts in a teasing tone.

Taken aback, (Y/n) bites her tongue.

He hums, "That silence tells me a lot Star god."

She clears her throat, "The Nighttime War," (Y/n) quietly murmurs enough to only have her voice heard by the god wind's ears, "crushing the balance between the underwor—"

Sugawara swings open the entrance to Daichi's abode as if thunder had stricken. "—We're home!"

Daichi scrabbles to burn (Y/n)'s contaminated clothing, "I'll grant your request," he urgently whispers in her ear, "under the condition that we continue this conversation."

She nods with an agreeing hum before Daichi's shadow appears on the other side of the sliding door.

'This is weird,'

'Daichi should know about the Nighttime War.'

Flames burn wildly as they react to the murmur on the other side.

(Y/n) tugs at the roots of her hair. 'Or...is this also Ushijima's doing.'

'If that's the case then...it's the reason why I should reestablish the communications' system.'

The tatami door shuts quietly, beholding a neatly folded yukata in a fitting color.

The celestial god stares at the disappearing figures going out the door as many fluffy flying balls trailed behind them. She shuts her mind for now, moving any tugged-on hairs back to their place as (Y/n) wraps on the fresh clothing touched by cleansing winds.
____________

A gray cloud bursts from the crow with an orange scarf, "Kenma!" The boy eagerly shouts with arms up, in a typical crow tengu outfit.

His puffy orange hair completely shadows the tokin on his head, the small black box created a small hole on the top of his head.

The other crows followed suit, many popped into being, with a bracelet as their original scarf.

"Hinata don't scare (Y/n)'s spirit away got it." One with horns and black hair ordered the crow tengu.

He hurriedly retorts, "Says the underworld demon, Kageyama!"

A tall male with short blond hair and glasses places a hand over the demon's shoulder, "Don't disrespect my servant, rookie." He teases Hinata who grits his teeth.

"Shut up with those ears and nine tails of yours Tsukishima! You're the literal king of the underworld!"

Kenma's eyes widen at the tall lean male, who scoffs and walks away to take a seat on a low wooden stool around a table consisting of a chopped-off tree trunk and a large green sturdy leaf.

Hinata turns back toward (Y/n)'s spirit, "Ah, don't worry about them, I know that they look freakin' scary um well..."

"—Kenma, I go by Kenma." The feline-like-eyed male softly smiles.

The orange crow tengu's eyes twinkle, "Nice to meet you Kenma!" He held both of Kenmas hands together.

"I'll introduce you to the nicer ones, those angels don't know how to act since they come from the underworld." Hinata teases, purposefully making eye contact with the two sitting around a table.

The demon pops a vein while the kitsune, Tsukishima, harshly eyes Hinata from the corner of his eye while he smokes on a thin pipe, a kiseru.

Kenma nervously nods as he cannot help but keep his eyes on the two who supposedly come from a different realm from the rest. They both wore muted kimonos, blue suiting Kageyama the best.

Tsukishima, the alleged 'King' wore less detailed clothing a gray kimono, a red sash, and his gold haori with patterned feather fans in a deeper golden color. The white large beaded bracelet caught Kenma's eye and overshadowed his thin beige one.

Although he was from the underworld, why would he have such regular clothing?

Kageyama easily resembles a demon with his navy blue kimono and gold obi, as thick gold lines outline the edges of his kimono, which has a black pattern of flowers creating waves with their petals.

Does coming from the underworld not equal being 'evil'?

"Kenma are you listening?" Hinata's voice raised in a questioning tone.

The blond male brushed off the hairs closing in on his face, "Yeah...sorry."

"Great!" The tengu places a hand on his hip, "So Yamaguchi, he's the second youngest out of all of us. That samurai you see, Asahi is the oldest!" He points to the intimidating male in a brown Yukata.

"I didn't take him to be a scaredy cat." Kenma quietly mutters enough for Hinata to hear.

He jabs Kenma with his elbow, "Shut up or he'll hide behind a bush." The orange-haired spirit said through giggles.

The felined eyed lets out a small accomplished sigh at the sight of Hinata's smile from something he just told.

Kenma, the spirit many angels would call a newborn, holds the power to make others smile. It's more fulfilling to see words giving bloom to a smile, under the torches and fairy lights.

Three gods watch from above and through a large glass pane, all sitting around a kotatsu since the winds have cooled the evening.

"You continue to change Star god!" Sugawara eagerly waves around his cup of tea, "Waking up from that cocoon as the weakest god, you've made some progress."

(Y/n) scoffs at Suga's claim, "Mr. Powdered Sugar, quit making it seem like I've been training. All I did was restore the sky of my realm and Oikawa's."

Daichi gasps, "That guy...you really did it with that. Guy."

She puts down the tea after a sip, "Hate is a strong feeling, if anyone wants to take down Ushijima more than me, then it would be Oikawa."

The God of powdered sugar chews on a stick, "Guess your head is still working too huh."

(Y/n) raised her fist, "I'm not a stupid god!" and did not swing at the unbothered god.

He leans forward, "Daichi do you think your people," Sugawara's enhanced vision pinpoints the spirits who move through his towns, without the use of magic, "can become filled with magic from the winds once more."

"What do you mean, God of Longevity? No such thing has ever happened...The Nighttime War never happened are you insane?"

From soft nibbles, Sugawara chomped down on his stick and his snake raised its neck. Staring viciously at Daichi.

Her whole body tensed up as if she had detected a threat from the God of Wind's words alone.

Suga's words shook, "Remember...when we fought to keep our skies together..."

"No such thing has ever happened."

'No wonder...why he kept pestering...' (Y/n) crafted on her cushioned seat.

His tone shifts, exiting from a cowardly voice into a demanding and intimidating one. "Daichi you brought spirits from the underworld to fight...even if it rivaled your stance of a heavenly god.."

"No such thing has ever happened."

Teacups flipped over right as Sugawara jerked up from his seat, "You're not the Daichi who fought for his people, his spirits!"

The gray-haired male's hand creeps up his neck, itching to yank his snake to gain the upper hand since a fact stands before them.

This is not Daichi Sawamura who sits calmly before Sugawara Koshi.

(Y/n) harshly pulls on Daichi's collar, "You're not the fierce warrior who transformed Hinata Shoyo into an angel!"

A twisted sword jabs the neck of the so-called God of Wind.

"Kinoshita!" Sugawara shouts as the false body swells up right in front of the two.

From blade to snake, he absorbs the shock of the explosion which sends debris shooting down with flames onto the spirits.

"Shoyo!" Kenma shakes the lifeless body, "Shoyo...Yamaguchi...and Asahi..." (Y/n)'s spirit scans his surroundings with shaken eyes.

"Hey! The hell is going on!" Kageyama shouts as he struggles from disappearing magic with a hand over his aching head.

"Use your magic." Tsukishima kneels beside Yamaguchi, "We do not have a god anymore...Daichi has been either killed or we are undergoing the replacement process." He fiddles with his comrade's frozen hands.

"But..." Kageyama hesitates.

"—Hurry up dumbass! You don't want to, do you! I'll keep you in check as your king!"

Although no physical change from Kageyama, his magic output greatly skyrockets, enough for Kenma to duck his head.

"The replacement process...?" Kenma mutters, lifting his head to only meet the Underworld king's eyes.

He blows out smoke from his kiseru as ghosts catch the incoming burning debris, Tsukishima scoffs, "When a god gets replaced by an angel or untitled god...we're either enemies right now or it's us against an unknown enemy."

Kageyama swings his huge club, the spikes lifting wood to deflect debris as they explode like fireworks. "Eliminate (Y/n) from the equation, the skies aren't connected yet."

The frightened male turns to the Underworld king who fixes his glasses, "Yeah, it's us against one of my people." The glare reflects a blazing rock guided by the winds.

"Kenma, it's headed for the communications system!" Kageyama draws his foot back in an attempt to prepare to leap toward the meteor-like rock.

Tsukishima's hand yanks Kageyama back, "We first need to check on the gods that are here—"

"—Rest assured." Sugawara placed a hand on the nine-tail fox's shoulder.
