˗ˏˋ꒰  💤Chap. 23: Westside꒱

The rest of the date went pretty well, Scaramouche was being a gentleman like his usual self, the only thing that bothered me was Lumine's distance. Every bite I took, I could feel daggers piercing into my body. After an agonizingly long time, we left the restaurant, coincident or not, Lumine also left at the same time. 

♯ - In Scaramouche's Car

Y/N: "I lowkey don't wanna go back and unpack right now, I feel like I'm gonna fall asleep any moment"

Scaramouche: "You want to go star gazing then? I know a spot, the ride there is sort of long, just enough for a nap, maybe it'll help you recharge."

Y/N: "Reallyy? That sounds cute, we're like doing couple shit but are we seriously locked in tho likeee??"

Scaramouche: "I just realized, we never really confirmed out status huh"

Y/N: "Yeahh"

Scaramouche: "So, what do you think?"

Scaramouche felt his heart thumping in his chest as he turned his head, but only to be greeted with an already deep in slumber Y/N. He let out a sigh, and turned to face the road, starting the engine and entering the address into his GPS. He decided to give up this topic and leave this question unanswered for another time. 

♯ - Two hours later: Teyvat Observatory

Y/N was this sound asleep, and Scaramouche was afraid of waking them up, in fear of disturbing them. He quietly turned towards the back seats to grab a blanket for Y/N, then went on his phone to wait until Y/N wakes up. Not long after Y/N sensed that the car had stopped, they looked around adjusting to the atmosphere until their foggy memory resurfaces. 

Y/N: "Sorry, did I oversleep?"

Scaramouche: "Nah, we just got here don't worry"

Y/N: "So...this is the stargazing spot? It's a nice observatory, I've never heard of it though..."

Scaramouche: "It's quite an exclusive observatory, those who don't come here often don't know about this place pretty much. Wanna go in? You should bring a jacket, it'll be cold."

Y/N: "Mhm, sure let's go! But, I didn't bring a jacket, didn't think we'll still be out this late"

Scaramouche: "No worries, you can borrow one of my jackets in the back, they might just be slightly bigger. Hope you don't mind"

Y/N: "No no, I don't mind"

Y/N turned to the back and fetched the closest jacket, then turning to open the door following Scaramouche into the observatory. Y/N was still a bit foggy from the nap, but the observatory left them in awe. The giant open roof ceiling showcased the night sky perfectly, making this simple observatory seem almost romantic in some way. The only lighting in the observatory came from the dim motion sensing lights under the steps and the full moon. 

Scaramouche: "This place is perfect for stargazing, I used to go here a lot"

Y/N: "Yeah, it is perfect"

Scaramouche: "And, it's quite secluded, no one can interrupt your peace."

Y/N: "When did you become such a nature guy?"

Scaramouche: "Not really, I mean I do appreciate it"

The rest was complete silence, maybe it was just awkward, or the sight really left the pair speechless. 

But one thing was for sure, the pair both thought the same thing: 

"The moon sure is beautiful today."

Sorry for the super long hiatus guysss its been hard studying in a new country and learning a new language from scratch

I also felt like because I'm using a completely different language basically 24/7 my writing skills have probably got worse idk fs tho

anywaysss i'll try to update more often to make up for this random hiatus i took 

though this chapter is a bit short i wanted to pump something out tbh

(also trying out a new layout I'll implement in other chapters once I get the time)
