💕It had been nearly an hour since the sun had sunk past the horizon leaving countless stars to fill the night sky.
Crowley stood awkwardly by a group of picnic tables. All around him was an abundance of whirling colors, twinkling assortments of colorful lights, the steady stream of upbeat music, and joyful people on rides. There were countless people, many of whom were happy families on vacation, courting couples, and pissy minimum-wage employees.
Crowley was dressed in his usual black attire, his dark glasses perched neatly on the bridge of his thin, pointed nose as he stared down at his park bracelet, fidgeting with the overlapped, sticky edging.
Aziraphale, who stood beside him, lightly tugged against the demon's sleeve with one hand, in the other he held a small plate.
"Dear," Aziraphale began, looking up at Crowley, "can you hold my crepes while I try the milk bottle toss?" The angel smiled happily, his rosy cheeks lit up with excitement.
The demon gently took the plate for the other looking down at him. "Angle, you know those are rigged right?" Crowley asked hesitantly, not wanting to spoil the others' fun.
"Oh hush dear I can do it rigged or not," Aziraphale said confidently. He then straightened up his tie and walked up to the booth placing down a pound with a grin.
"One toss please!" said aziraphale. The demon followed closely beside the angel watching with curiosity.
The game was simply a game of not-to-simple milk bottle toss. For those who don't know, the milk bottle toss is one of the many rigged games at carnivals, the bottles themselves are incredibly heavy, meaning not only are they difficult to knock over, but they also require a fair amount of accuracy which tends to get lost with the increase of force necessary.
The man at the booth grinned, taking the money and setting a rice-filled bag in front of Aziraphale. "Good luck," he said, stepping back.
Aziraphale tossed the small ball up and down in his palm before lining himself up for the toss. He threw the ball and hit right in the center bottom of the stacked bottles which should have knocked it over; although, it wasn't hard enough. The milk bottles remained firmly upright in their place.
Crowley glanced at the upright bottles and then at Aziraphale whose hope was visibly dwindling. With a quick flick of Crowley's wrist, the bottles tumbled off the platform leaving the worker to stare in confusion and Aziraphale in excitement.
The worker sighed and looked over at Aziraphale, shaking off his confusion."What prize would you like?" The worker asked.
Aziraphale thought for a moment before leaning up and whispering something to the worker.
Moments later Aziraphale walked to Crowley and held up a keychain with a small plush duck on it. Crowley's eyes widened behind his glasses as he looked down at the small duck and then back at the sweet angel.
Crowley looked back at the keychain for a moment with wide eyes and rosy cheeks. Crowley gently took the duck and placed a small kiss on top of aziraphale's light wavy curls, "thank you angel."
Aziraphale chuckled, taking his crepes from Crowley before asking under his breath, "Should we go on the Ferris wheel next?"
Crowley nodded and carefully walked to the Ferris wheel with Aziraphale. The demon paid and the two got in sitting side by side.
The Ferris wheel was tall and colorful, as it rose into the sky, the two got a wide view of stunning rolling hills, tall lit-up buildings, and the colorful fairgrounds beneath the two.
Crowley looked out at the view while Aziraphale rested his head on the demons shoulder. "Thank you for today dear," Aziraphale hummed, happily looking up at the other.
Crowley slipped off his glasses and looked back down at Aziraphale, "thank you."
