Chapter 19: Professor Lag Krueger

Third Person's POV

It was a starry midnight. Norn was sitting at her window, looking up at the dark yet sparkling sky. Everyone was asleep, probably dreaming about random things. The moon above was showering the whole place with its silver-blue rays.

It wasn't quite a cold night, though. There were snorts, grunts, and even the slightest groans heard in the night. They were probably from those creatures lingering around outside the academy.

Maya-maya ay naging tahimik na rin ang paligid. Habang nakatingin sa bilog na bilog na buwan ay makikita ang kalamigan sa mga mata nito. Lamig na higit sa ipinakikita niya araw-araw.

“Eisai Echasmeni...” mahina niyang bulong sa malamig na pag-ihip ng hangin na tila ay wala sa sarili at kusa lamang itong lumabas sa kaniyang bibig.

WHEN Norn got up in the morning, she was awakened by the special fragrance of bacon, bread, pie and eggs. Eos had been up since five, cooking early, and wanting everyone to attend class with full stomachs.

"Captain bake a chiffon pie!" a shout came from the kitchen in Cole's voice. Everyone's doors opened in sync, and footsteps could be heard getting louder and louder.

When everyone arrived in the kitchen, in just one flash, you could see them sitting in their own seats, catching their breath from running all the way. In just five seconds, all of them let out heavy breaths with sleepy looks in their eyes.

Samantala, sakto namang pumasok si Norn sa kusina habang lumilipad si Misha sa kaniyang tabi at humihikab. Unlike other members, Norn's already wearing her uniform. Eos is the same but left his coat hanging on the stand in the living room.

Umupo si Norn sa upuan habang bumati naman si Misha na sinuklian agad ng iba. When Eos put the foods on the table with Cole's help, eyes went sparkling in the sight.

“Sy, I don't think it's a good idea to pu—” and before Nalani could even finish what she was about to say, Syria on the other side of the table have put the bacon inside her mouth.

“Hm?” she asked still not chewing her food.

“That bacon is mine.” Nalani who's addicted in spicy foods said as she points out a plate with bacons that is specially reserved for her.

Syria, who is sitting besides her and mistaken Nalani's plate into her own plate of sour bacon, suddenly turn red. Her eyes grew wider while the other members have ‘Oh-ohh’-look in their faces.

Agad napatili si Syria at nailuwa ang bacon na nasa kanyang bibig. Napahampas ng ilang beses ang kaniyang mga kamay sa lamesa habang tumatalon habang naka-upo. Agad naman siyang binigyan ni Nalani ng tubig at ininom ito.

NAGLALAKAD si na Norn sa hallway patungo pa lamang sa kanilang mga klase. Kasama niya sina Koa, Cole, Cosima, Misha at si Eos. Gaya ng laging nangyayari sa umaga ay hindi pa rin nawawala ang tingin ng ibang mga istudyante. At kung mapapansin ay mukhang mas lumala pa ito ngayon.

“Miss Norn, sorry for this late information,” agad napatingin si Norn at Misha ng magsalita si Eos. Nasa likod kasi ito kasama siya habang nasa unahan naman ang iba at mukhang may pinag-uusapan. Tumingin lang siya dito.

“We wants you to meet another two members of Sirius Knights. Ang isa sa kanila kasi ay ayaw na ipagsabi sa iba kapag ilang araw na lamang at babalik na sila. So whenever headmaster tells me they were coming back, I should wait when it's that day.” Paliwanag nito habang diretso ang tingin sa mga mata ni Norn na ginagawa rin naman ng huli.
