The man behind the mask. (Arknights x Male Reader.)

Introduction.

Hello everyone and welcome to a new book! As always, I'll use this chapter to describe what the book is about!

I'd like to begin by saying I'm not an expert in Arknight's lore. I'm reading stuff from the wiki, playing the game myself and watching playthroughs of people to see what's going on. However, do not expect me to address everything that has happened in the game or include all +200 operators.

I'm going to focus mostly on events that happen during the main campaign and introduce operators that are not feature in said scenes with made up explanations. I know some in game events are canon, but I don't have the time nor the will to see every little event and figure out what's going on.

The Doctor A.K.A you is going to be a very unique character to compared anything I've written. Specially because I'll make you as mysterious as possible (I'll address this later on). Also, I'll say it now before anyone asks about any inconsistency with him or his lore. This doctor is much different from the one in game. That's all I'll say. Expect events to be changed, characters that should die be alive... and the other way around. A different person, different results.

This new Doctor is based on the Pre-Amnesia doctor however, I'm more inclined to the cruel version of him than the "nice guy changed by war" doctor we have in Arknights. This version of The Doctor is someone willing to go to the extremes if it's required to win. You're going to win, no matter what you have to do or who must die.

Something that made me interested in writting this book is how certain characters like W were terrified of the old Doctor. Fear is something I also want to include. Sometimes, you'll see the same scene I wrote but viewed in the eyes of the enemies you defeated. Also, even though many chapters will be written in your P.O.V I may change the P.O.V in other chapters for plot reasons.

Be ready to get violent. Although most fights will happen without The Doctor doing anything other than command the troops, sometimes you'll have to fight too. I won't get into details, but The Doctor doesn't mess around. It won't be pretty for your enemies.

Romance. Man, this is the topic that always gives me the most trouble. Yes there will be romance in the book but I will not focus on this at all. You can request any character you like so far it makes sense to add them (Texas, Nearl or Kal'tsit are fine, Purin or Ash {R6 operator} are not). Also, characters will slowly be added. If you want Ch'en don't expect her to be around in chapter 5 regardless of my answer to your request.

No OC's, other universes BS or stuff like that. Let's keep it cannon boys.

Since there's a crap ton of characters I want to include, chapters will be long both in total words and chapter amoumt. Stuff that are in game like Anhiliation will also be included to create more chapters for you guys.
