Chapter 2. Monster.

Y/N P.O.V

We arrived at Chernobog. Some of us wished we didn't. The city was in flames, Reunion soldiers everywhere killing innocent people. There's too many of them for us to handle. The army deployed to protect the citizens were getting overwhelmed by the terrorist force. Screams, sirens, the smell of burning flesh... It was hell on earth.

We were hiding inside an alleyway, looking at the situation. Everyone had their weapons ready in case we got spotted.

Dobermann:"What in the world... is going on here?"

Reunion soldier:"Search all these houses! I want every single room turned inside out!"

Female:"Let go of me! No!"

A couple terrorists tried to drag a woman and her child but a man tackled them both to the ground.

Man:"Forget about me! Run! Protect our child!"

The mother hesitated but grabbed her child and decided to leave. Sadly, the two terrorists managed to free themselves and started beating the man alive. The security forces managed to form a line and reagroup at the cost of leaving the people they were defending to themselves.

Ursus guard:"Forget about the civilians! Hold the line first! There are too many masked goons coming!"

Reunion Member:"Don't give the cops any time to rest! Keep attacking!"

Ursus guard 2:"Where are our reinforcements?! We're going to get overrun..."

Amiya:"What's going on?! Why? Why is Reunion doing this?!"

Dobermann:"After all these years, the wolves in sheep's clothing finally bare their fangs."

Amelia:"The infected... they... they're attacking Ursus troops!"

Damian:"But why?! Challenging the Ursus government like this is suicide!"

Y/N:"Fool. These people are being led by someone. They're prepared for this. Look at them closely. They have anticipated the cop's movements and acted accordingly. "

Dobermann:"I agree. They've also found the place we rescued the Doctor from even though it was supposed to be top secret. It's possible Reunion's attack have spread through Chernobog in it's entirety."

Damian:"No... how that can be?"

Amiya:"Shhh!"

We all kept quiet. A couple of Reunion members were walking the street next to our alleyway. We all quickly hid from their view and listened closely to their conversation.

Reunion member 1:"Have you found any of those fleeing Chernos?"

Reunion member 2:"I'm still looking!"

Reunion member 1:"Good, don't let a single one get away! Those cold-blooded beasts... I'll make them pay for what they've done to my family!"

They were about to leave until Amelia coughed due to the stench in the air. We all looked at her in surprise, knowing she may have given away our position. As expected, the Reunion soldiers looked our way.

Reunion member 1:"What was that?"

He saw Amiya's ears. I grabbed her head and pulled her down but it was futile, our position was compromised.

Reunion member 2:"Over there!"

Or that's what we thought. All this time, another infected woman was with us, hiding in a trash can. The reunion soldier did not spot Amiya but the girl in question. They dragged her out of the alley and started laughing, enjoying the beating they were giving her. Amiya was looking at me with pleading eyes. She wanted me to give the order and save her.
