After the Battle, Sunstrike looked at all the dead cats... Only one died that was of StormClan: Sunfire. He fought valiantly, but he fell to the DarkClan warriors. He fought and died a warrior's death... Sunstrike thought to herself, remembering that he had kits she winced with the pain of telling them. "Sunstrike." Bravestar's rough voice called from behind her.

"Yes?" Sunstrike replied, whipping around to face him.

"You fought well tonight, being a new warrior. Good job. Treeheart as well... Where is he?" Bravestar meowed.

"He's... He's over in the Medicine Cat's den. He got cut up and injured pretty badly." Sunstrike coughed.

"Ah, I see. You fought well side by side. I believe that there will be new kits this Greenleaf!" Bravestar purred with amusement, walking towards the Medicine Cat's den.

As Sunstrike watched Bravestar walk away, a mix of emotions swirled within her. Pride at being acknowledged for her bravery mingled with sorrow for the loss of Sunfire and concern for Treeheart's injuries. But amidst the chaos and grief, a flicker of hope remained, she hadn't ever thought of having Treeheart's kits... Let alone be his mate, so she quickly shook the thought off.

Making her way to the Medicine Cat's den, Sunstrike felt a sense of urgency gnawing

Entering the den, she found Treeheart lying on a nest of moss, his fur stained with blood and his breathing shallow. Despite the pain etched on his features, he managed a weak smile as he saw her enter.

"Sunstrike," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I knew you'd come."

Sunstrike's heart clenched at the sight of Treeheart's injuries, but she forced herself to remain composed, to be strong for him. "Of course, I'm here, Treeheart. I'll always be here for you."

She approached him gently, careful not to worsen his wounds, and settled beside him, her warmth offering a small comfort amidst the pain and uncertainty.

Treeheart reached out, his paw brushing against hers in a gesture of gratitude and affection. "Thank you, Sunstrike. For everything."

Tears pricked at the corners of Sunstrike's eyes as she looked into Treeheart's gaze, seeing the depth of their bond reflected within. "You don't need to thank me, Treeheart. We're practically family, remember? We look out for each other."

"Yeah..." Treeheart trailed off, closing his eyes with one last weak smile and drifting off into a deep sleep. Sunstrike licked his head and smiled, "Oh Treeheart..." She muttered.

"Hey!" Leafpaw meowed, looking at Treeheart. "What happened to him?"

"He was serving his Clan." Sunstrike dipped her head.

"Ah... Yes." Leafpaw nodded.

Sunstrike nodded, her gaze softening as she looked at Treeheart's sleeping form. "He fought bravely in the battle against DarkClan. He's always been there for

StormClan, ready to put his life on the line to protect us."

Leafpaw's eyes widened with admiration. "Wow, Treeheart sounds like a true warrior."

Sunstrike smiled, a hint of pride evident in her voice. "He is. But he's more than just a warrior. He's my closest friend, my confidant... He's everything to me."

Leafpaw tilted his head curiously. "Everything?"

Sunstrike blushed slightly, realizing she had revealed more than she intended. "I mean... We've been through a lot together. He's like family to me."
