I heard my phone ringing right as I finished my makeup and saw it was Asher.

"Hey I'm outside in your driveway. Whenever you are ready we can head out."

"I am on my way."

we both hung up the call and I put my heels on and headed downstairs to meet Asher outside.

As I walked outside I saw Asher turn his attention towards me and his mouth had dropped from how shocked he was.

"you're drooling Asher." I said with a smile.

"Wow Layla, you look gorgeous." He said while looking me up and down.

"Thank you and you don't look too bad yourself"

He laughed and then a smirk grew on his face.

"the one who was staring at a picture of me and called me hot"

My face started to turn red from embarrassment. I put my hand in front of my face to hide how embarrassed I was.

I then noticed there wasn't a car behind him. There was a motorcycle instead.

"Uh Asher is that how we are getting to the party?"

"Yeah, my car is at my dad's house and since I'm at my mom's right now I only have my motorcycle. I'm sorry for not letting you know beforehand".

I saw how his smirk fell off his face and sadness replaced it. He then started to look down at the floor. I could tell he wasn't just upset that he didn't tell me about the motorcycle but he was upset about his parents. I started to feel sorry for him.

"Hey, don't worry. It's okay and I like to try new things anyways." I said while giving him a smile.

He looked back up at me so quick and raised his eyebrow when i said that.

"New things? Wait you never rode on a motorcycle before?" He said with a concerned look.

"No. I haven't but I trust you and it looks fun anyways". I said and gave him a small smile.

I could tell he already forgot about his parents because a smirk appeared right back on his face again.

"You trust me?"

"Yeah, I mean if I didn't I wouldn't be having this conversation with you right now. So....."

His smirk did not fall off his face at all. I can tell I was boosting his ego even more.

"Alright let's get on and hold on tight."

I nodded as he handed me a helmet.

If I'm being honest I lied to him. I was terrified right now. I was trying to not show him how scared I was especially how I started shaking when he handed me the helmet. I did not like to try new things. I always liked to do things I was used too, I don't really like change. I know that is a habit I have to start working on and I think Asher is really helping with that because I do trust him but this is the first time I have ever hung out with this dude outside of school.

I held on to him really tight throughout the whole ride because I did not want my life to end today,
but it was actually really fun riding on a motorcycle. It feels so free with the wind hitting against your body, the rush of adrenaline going through your body when severing lane to lane, and seeing the street lights sparkling as you pass by them. It was terrifying as well though but it did help get my mind off of Ace.

We finally made it to the party and the house was huge, there was music blasting, and tons of cars parked all over. I knew Christina was rich but wow this is insane.

This. is. a. HUGE. house!!! I said screaming in excitement.

"Yeah, it is but let's head in." He said while getting off of his bike.

Asher and I finally made it to the house after walking up a thousand steps it felt like.

"Man my feet already hurt. Why do they need this much steps?" I said while rubbing my head in frustration.

Asher laughed "you could've told me to pick you up. I would have carried you up the stairs."

I stared him in the eyes " yeah, okay" I said while rolling my eyes.

"Hey, next time just say something."

I rolled my eyes again as we walked in through the front door and the house was filled with so much people. It was like body to body and no space to even breathe. Music was blasting and it was starting to get hard for me to hear Asher.

"Hey! Follow me!" He said while taking my hand and starting to lead me through the crowd to wherever he was taking me.

We ended up outside at a balcony with lights hanging above us so we could see and there were a few people there but it wasn't as crazy as it was inside.

"Wow this view is beautiful." I walked over to the end of the balcony and I saw all the street lights and the stars lighting up the dark sky.

I then turned my attention towards Asher "Wait, how did you know this existed in this place and how to get here?"

He turned his attention towards me and started scratching the back of his neck.

"Um, Christina invited me over on the first day of school and I didn't want to come over but she wouldn't stop asking me about it throughout the whole school day, so I finally ended up agreeing".

"Oh no wonder why you knew how to get around this place easily."

"Yeah." He said while looking down at his feet.

I noticed his mood changed a bit until someone else caught my attention.

As I glanced over Asher's shoulder I saw him.

He did end up coming to the party. I started to feel sick to my stomach from how upset I felt. I can't believe he didn't tell me he was coming to the party. That's when we accidentally made eye contact with each other from across the room. He looked away quickly but I didn't look away. I just couldn't for some reason.

Maybe it was because of how good he looked. He was wearing black jeans with a white pull over and his hair was a bit messy. It was probably because of him dancing or something but it looked sexy. He looked sexy. Until I noticed he pulled a girls hand to follow him to go sit down.
