The old photograph sat still on the table. I turned my head and glanced at the alarm clock. 6.58 a.m. Two more minutes. I groaned with frustration.

Smoothing down my uniform, I checked myself out in the full length mirror. Sweet. The uniform fit my form perfectly. I did a twirl and smiled.

Outside my window, small flakes of snow danced and skittled in the wind. It was like white balls of fluffiness. I squealed with delight. A day with snow! I raced downstairs to find my parents.

"It's snowing! It's snowing!" I screamed happily. My parents looked up and smiled. "It's the heavens welcoming you to your new district and school!" I laughed merrily.

I liked the thought. A new house. A new school. New memories. A beginning. A time to forget the negative times. Life is going to be great!

I tucked my hair into my new woolly coat and wrapped a red scarf around my neck. All ready!

My new school was massive. Almost like a princess' castle. I imagined myself as a princess. Princess in the snow! Haha that's funny. A little voice in my head nagged at me. Hey! Don't ruin my fun! I shook my head. Stupid conversations in my head.

"You ready?" My mother asked, fixing my scarf. "Of course I am!" I said loudly, trying to look confident. Scrunching her face into a wide smiled, my mother replied, "Kim Hyejung, fighting!"

The classrooms were nice and warm. The interior of the school was grand and well...spectacular. It was really like a palace.

Entering the office, I noticed the bright aura in it. All the teachers smiled as they worked and talked. Wow. I looked around at the scene and-

"How can I help you?" A formal sounding voice from behind startled me. "Oh...? Um...I'm a new student." A tall teacher loomed over me, peering down at me through her spectacles. "Kim Hyejung? Okay, come with me." She strutted away like a model.

I gave her my paperwork and watched her type my information into the computer. She had an elegant figure and the perfume she wore smelt expensive. "Take a seat, Miss Kim."

I realised I was still standing. "Oh! Yes I should." I scrambled into a nearby chair. Suddenly, she stopped typing and drummed her fingers against the table.

"Well...firstly am the Principal of this school, you can call me Mrs. Jung or Director whichever one you prefer." she paused for a moment. "Secondly, I want to say welcome to the school." Aish. She talks too much. "Thirdly..." I looked outside. The snow was building up. "Miss Kim? Are you listening?"

"What oh yeah I was just-"
"As I was saying, I've heard about you missy. I heard you were a troublemaker." Wait what? A troublemake? "....why you're here. Because you caused trouble in your previous school."

My mind whirled. No. This can't be happening. Events haunted me once again. No. This is MY new start.

"...I hope you don't cause any trou-"
"I didn't do anything wrong." I interuppted. I balled my fingers into a fist.

"Pardon?" the principal looked incredibly taken back. "You shouldn't interrupt a teacher while she's speaking. What a rude girl."
"I'm not a rude g-" Knock knock.

"Hi miss. You asked me to come?" a middle-aged man entered the office. He looked startled when I turned to glare at him. "Oh yes." She stood up. "Miss Kim. This is your homeroom teacher, Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee, this is Hyejung, your new student"

The man smiled at me and said, "Well, Hyejung, it's nearly classtime, let's head to class together." I nodded and followed him out of the office.

Buzzes of conversations echoed down the corridor. Mr. Lee pulled open a classroom door.
