I walked over to my desk and sat down. Usually, it wasn't this crowded on campus. But since summer was approaching, everyone was trying to move their things out including her. Boxes filled the minuscule dorm I was sharing with my roommate Katie. Originally, we had been sharing a dorm since our second year of college, going back and forth to Taco Bell, laughing about frivolous things. So understandably, I'm pretty sad to leave, but I'm very excited to start this new life, with my fiance! Since a few years ago, I had been only dating him and soon, we would get married once we moved out, hence all the trouble with packing. packing.
"Do you think there will be a fun graduation party?" Katie asked while scrolling through her phone, leaning in the bathroom doorway. "I don't think so, last I heard, people were going to Shakira's concert downtown tonight." I turned my head and sighed as I rolled around in In the desk chair my mom had given me. Suddenly, a frantic knock on the door was heard by both me and Katie. "Who is knocking this late?" Katie groaned, "It's only 3 pm.." I said a little annoyed as I got up to answer the door, When opened the door- low and behold! It was Julia. I and Juli had been friends for a while now, I met her through a mutual friend named Erica when I was at... Walmart? Too soon, I was knocked out of my memories and into reality when Julia pushed passed me and started talking " Carol you will never believe just happened! I got us tickets to the Shakira concert!" Julia said excitedly. I had always seen Julia to be outgoing, kind, and a little too patient..she always wore her bell-bottom jeans and some old '80s band t-shirt, at least it went well with her short curly hair. "You've got to be kidding me... Shakira? Is she even ethical?" I said while closing the front door and sitting back down at my desk. "Who cares? It's a free concert! Come on Carol, we haven't been to any concerts in like..ever." Julia said, making it sound serious. "Fine! whatever, I'll go, as long as YOU help me pack like you keep 'promising'" I spoke, feeling frustrated. Julia smiled and nodded "You got it grumpy! I'll text you the tickets, Meet me there!" Julia then walked out and closed the door. "Well that's gonna be one heck' of a concert..." Katie smiled while eating her yogurt. "Where did you even get yogurt??" I said annoyed, rolling my desk chair towards Katie. "Uh..I just found it?" Katie said, giving her a disgusted look in the process while also opening my mouth to speak. "Okay, whatever.. that's gross.."  then I went back to my desk. After a few hours, I was getting ready. (boo) I groaned "What do people even wear at concerts!"  feeling annoyed. Then i decided on a normal outfit..I guess?  A loosely ripped jeans and a sage green square-neck top with some white Converse. "Is this good?" I questioned herself. "Seems pretty alright to me," Katie said abruptly, scaring me in the process which forced me to obvisouly roll my  eyes and walked out of there , making my way to the old honda ive had for awhile. I felt my phone buzz and checked it phone for the tickets. Bingo! found them, Now to just drive way downtown and meet Julia and Erica. It really wasn't a long drive i enjoyed it...until i made it to the actual concert.
"Finally made it to this stupid thing..." I scoffed and smiled as Erica looked at both of the girls "All alright ladies, let's get to it!"
The Shakira concert was overall...well... disappointing, at least to Me. I was tired, had been standing for too long and overall, hungry. I walked for a while until she made it to the front of the concert by accident, "Can't Remember to Forget You", blasting in my ears. I waited there for a while, "I guess this isn't so bad." I said quietly, listening to the performance Until screams bursted from the crowd, and they werent excited either... I looked behind myself and saw the gruesome party going on in front of me.

A young man, looking to be around the age of 20, was tearing the person in front of me alive.
I panicked and started to run, the bloodied screams becoming less and less kept running further away. Next thing you know, Im lost, deep in the woods, not knowing where I am and all I have on me is my phone, car keys, and- "What..was that?" I spoke quietly. Scared. I picked up my phone to call my fiance
"No service, how bad can this get?" I looked around and then continued walking for a few hours.

Then i  saw a figure and ran towards it, Hopefully its police or something. then once I was there, no one seemed to appear. Maybe I'm was seeing things.

Eventually, I found her way back to town and the parking lot was empty, as well as the stadium. So i  got in my car and made my way to my fiance's house.

"Hopefully he will be there," I whispered as while turning onto his street and parking my car in the driveway. The lights were on. I knocked on the door and waited a few seconds and then the door opened, and something grabbed me and dragged me inside, causing me to fall on the floor. I quickly turned to see my fiance, a weapon in hand, pointing at it at me. I put my hands up, feeling defenseless. Quickly, my fiance lowered his weapon "Your not bit are you?" He said confused. "No I'm not bit..what are you even talking about Jack!"  I said annoyed and  confused, shifting on the floor to get up. "Carol..where have you been? There are..things running around, eating people Car!" He yelled, shaking as he locked the doors. "Hundreds of people have already died. We have to get out of here." He said while still facing the door. I stayed silent while grabbing my car keys out of my jean pocket, i knew it was a good decision to wear these. "You're driving, I have blankets and extra food from the concert in my car anyways." I added quietly. I walked from the foyer to the hallway, eventually making my way to the back door and unlocking it, walking to the driveway "Wait.. concert? You went to that crazy concert! What is wrong with you!" Jack, my fiance said, clearly angered by my brief words. "Yeah well, what could I have done? just get in the car and shut up." I yelled, angry enough about the situation. Both of us climbed into the car, staying silent as he started it up. "Look, my parents aren't answering my calls, I saw my neighbor get eaten alive! I have a right to be angry okay? I just don't want to lose you too." He said sternly but quietly. I didn't have the heart to say anything after, we just drove in silence while trying to get through the highways, packed. Helicopters racing around, as the radio blared the warning sirens. Police and Military people surrounded the area. I sighed and looked out the window, fire spreading across the many houses and buildings. Man, this surely can't get worse...I hope.
