We finished the scene with the director cutting the part. As I was walking back to my trailer, the director stopped me with a perfect smile, complete with his jaw dropping dimples and big brown eyes. Most people would be surprised he's already a director since he's only four years older than me.
"Good job Valentino. I predict you have your script memorized for tomorrow," he raised an eyebrow and my eyes widened as I looked down mumbling a small profanity under my breath. I tried to say something but my breath hitched in my throat.
Oh my god, this is the director Em... Snap out of it!
I looked up at him, my heart pounding so loud I'd be surprised if he didn't hear it.
"Well, I'll leave you to it. See you tomorrow Valentino," he grinned walking off, allowing me to walk slowly to my trailer. The first thing I did as I entered the small trailer was fall on the comfy sofa bed.
"Ughhhhhh," I groaned, grabbing a nearby pillow and stuffing my face into it and trying to get Christian Edwards, the director, out of my head. I was dozing off into a deep sleep when a knock on my door alarmed me.
Ugh some bastard didn't allow me to sleep and now I have to actually open the freakin door...
Yet my clumsy self, still half asleep, tripped over all of the trash on the floor, causing me to hit the right side of my face on the ground with a loud BOOM! I stood up a little dazed still and opened the door.
"What do you want?" I grumbled, rubbing my eyes.
I fully open my eyes and yawn just before realizing the very attractive man standing in front of me who looked around my age.
Shit, I feel like a total bitch.
I take a deep breath, " Umm, hey... sorry for my rudeness and clumsiness," I exhale the breath I was holding, hoping that what I was going to say next would be true, "but are you a fan?"
I waited for him to respond while I softly smiled, tucking a stray hair behind my ear. He chuckled shaking his head in a joking manner.
"Umm sorry," the cute stranger said while bringing his bottom lip between his teeth, "your script was on the ground by the makeup area and I was just here to give it to you" He gave me an adorable side grin with those light pink lips of his that made my stomach drop to the floor.
"Oh yeah," I remembered, "want to come in?" I asked as I widened the door and moved all the junk out of the way.
"Uhh... sure?" he raised his eyebrows and tried to cover his laugh with his hand.
"Hey I barely arrived here and I'm super tired so don't judge!" I laughed at myself along with him and let him in as he examined my trailer and sat down on a little cushioned couch.
"Yeah that explains the loud thump." He laughed as my eyes widened.
"You heard me fall." I covered my face as he laughed at my embarrassment.
"Hey it was nothing, everyone falls when they're tired. Right?"
He tried to comfort me as I rolled my eyes. "Ehh I guess. But don't 'fake-comfort' me because I'm still embarrassed."
I fell on the bed and pretend to snore loudly as he turned on the tv.
"Wait, I didn't catch your name," I mumbled into the pillow as I quickly lifted my head letting the strands of hair fall in front of my face.
"I'm Nick. You're Emma right?"
I nodded, letting my hair get pushed back by my fingers as I motioned Nick to come over and sit on my bed. He got up and came next to me while lifting my head up and placing it gently on his lap.
I looked up at him to find him staring down at me. His eyes flickered down to my lips and he tenderly put his hand on my waist.
"I feel like I've gotten really comfortable with a stranger." I close my eyes and suddenly all my worries about memorizing my lines are washed away because of this stranger in front of me.
I took in a quick breath when I open my eyes as he gives me one of those award winning smiles and nodded.
