"What's taking them so long?" Bambam muttered. He checked his watch.

Lisa and Jisoo were still getting ready. Or rather, Lisa was probably getting ready. Jisoo wasn't too girly.

Finally, the two girls came out. Lisa had a giant handbag slung over one shoulder. Jisoo was walking beside her.

"What took the two of you so long?" Bambam asked.

"We had to get ready," Lisa puffed.

"I was ready forty-five minutes ago," Jisoo mumbled. "But Miss I've-got-all-the-time-in-the-world insisted on packing everything but the kitchen sink in her bag."

Lisa looked at the cars strangely. "Why are there two cars?"

"One for you and me, one for Jungkook and Jisoo," Bang Chan said. He was the driver and also one of Jungkook's men.

Suddenly, there was a rustling sound behind them. Jungkook looked around but didn't see anything. He narrowed his eyes.

Lisa and Bambam went into the first car. "Bye Jisoo," Lisa called.

Lisa and Bambam's car was already out the gate before the first gunshot sounded.

Men dressed fully in black rose from behind trees and bushes, pointing guns at Jungkook and Jisoo. Jungkook, who was trained for this kind of situation, whistled. Bang Chan, Sunghoon, Heeseung, Jay, and Jake appeared out of thin air and pulled out their own guns.

Before she knew it, Jungkook had pushed her down behind the car. "Hold on to me, Jisoo," Jungkook said. Even in the midst of a gunfight, he wasn't panicking.

"But I want to help," Jisoo protested.

"No. I can't risk you getting hurt," Jungkook said.

"I'm not going to get hurt, I-"

"Do you trust me?" Jungkook asked, cupping her face.

Staring at him, Jisoo realized that she would trust this man with her life, and maybe even more.

"Yes."

"Then hold on to me," Jungkook said. Jisoo clutched at his shirt, and Jungkook wrapped one arm around her, holding her tightly. With his other hand he withdrew a gun and pointed it at three men who had been creeping up behind him.

"Don't look, jagi," Jungkook whispered into her ear.

Jisoo squeezed her eyes shut as Jungkook stood up and began firing bullets.

Jungkook POV

When she said she wanted to help, I realized that this girl standing before me was the bravest that I'd ever met. But she wouldn't have wanted to help if she knew what these men were after.

Suddenly something felt different. Like I was being watched, and concentrating, I knew there were three men coming up behind us, silent as mice.

I knew she could fight, but her skills weren't enough to beat all of these men. And I couldn't risk letting her get hurt.

"Don't look, jagi," I breathed into her ear.

I let go of her and pulled the trigger.

A few minutes later, the ground was stained red and covered with lifeless bodies.

How could I have been so stupid? I should've ordered all my men to surround her and keep her safe. But instead I let her out of the mansion and into the open where anyone could attack her. I should've just made her stay in the mansion where no harm could come to her.

When I turned around, Jisoo was gone.

FIVE MINUTES LATER

Felix approached Jungkook, frightened. "I'm sorry sir, but we can't find her."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T FIND HER?" Jungkook screamed. "SEARCH AGAIN!"

He was always a calm and unfrightened person, but now that he couldn't find Jisoo he was going insane.

Felix nodded and left.

Five minutes later, Bang Chan came back with the same news. "I'm sorry sir, but we can't find her."

Jungkook paced back and forth. "GO SEARCH AGAIN! I DON'T CARE IF YOU LIVE OR DIE, IF YOU CAN'T FIND HER, I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF! GO FIND HER!"

Bang Chan nodded and left.

A small, warm hand began rubbing circles into his back. "Shhhhh. Breathe, Jungkook."

Jungkook wrapped his arms around her and tangled his fingers into her hair. "Where were you?"

"I punched six guys in the stomach and Ni-ki killed them," Jisoo said. "You didn't expect me to sit around and do nothing while you guys fought, did you?"

"Are you alright, did you get hurt?" Jungkook asked, pulling back and examining Jisoo's face.

"I'm fine," Jisoo said. "But I'm not some damsel in distress. I can defend myself."

"I was stupid," Jungkook said, engulfing her in his arms. "I should've thrown you into the car and drove both of us away."

Ni-ki approached. "Sir, we found them."

He nodded respectfully to Jisoo.

Jungkook released Jisoo and stood up. "Alright. Get the men and we're going after them. Start getting ready. Restock on ammunition. We're leaving in ten minutes. Tell the men," he said. Ni-ki nodded and went to tell the others. "Also, tell Bang Chan and Felix that I'm sorry for screaming at them earlier."

Ni-ki nodded.

Jungkook knelt down again. "I'll be back, jagi," he whispered, staring into her eyes.

"I want to go," Jisoo said, not breaking eye contact.

"I don't want to be separated from you either, but I don't want you to get hurt," Jungkook said.

"But-"

"No buts. You may have beat up six men but you can't come with us. It's too dangerous. Ni-ki will guard you." Jungkook said. He kissed her on the forehead and stood up.

"Move out!" he shouted. The men got into a black minivan and sped away. Ni-ki held his hand out to Jisoo.

"Come on, Miss," he said.

"Where are we going?" Jisoo questioned.

"I have orders to take you to Miss Lisa. You'll be safe with Master Bambam and Miss Lisa."

Jisoo and Ni-ki got into the car, but as Ni-ki pulled out of the driveway, careful not to run over any dead bodies, she stared into the distance.

Stay safe, Jungkook.
