Chapter 4

"Whats wrong Lex?"

She gave me a blank look, Almost emotionless. I couldn't tell what was going on but I knew something had to be wrong

"Alexis spit it out"

"Just follow me boss"

I followed her into the house navigating through the rooms. I noticed all the lights were turned out which is weird but I didn't question it. As their boss I was really friendly. I wasn't only their boss, I was their friend, someone they could call on when they needed me. I wasn't at all mean unless I was off my meds that is.

"Lexi I really don't have time for these games, what is it that happened?"

As soon as we walked in the dining room, I saw everyone surrounding the table

"SURPRISE KENDALL"

oh yea.... I forgot about my birthday

"Um thanks you guys"

We spent time in the living room together talking, watching movies when my phone buzzed. It was a text from an unknown number.

It read "Hey Nemi"

It can't be. He was dead. I watched him die. Someone had to be playing a trick on me. I watched his eyes go lifeless.

I silently got up and went upstairs to my room. I grab my laptop and got to work, trying to track the number but I had no luck. I texted Ares and asked him to come up to my room.

"Hey Kelz, Whats up?"

Ares was our tech person. He was 100 times better than me at this stuff so I was sure he could help me.

"Could you track this number for me please. I got a weird text from it and I can't trace it"

"Yea sure no problem"

He took my laptop and started typing. Placing in a few codes and breaking down firewalls. He started to look fairly frustrated.

"Boss, I can't track it. It's saying error after error"

So this is a joke.

"Trying Lucas old number"

"Lucas? b-but he's dead" he stated, nervous to see my reaction

"Can you just trust me and try tracking it"

"It says 405 Vicolo Frattina. But this doesn't make any sense Kelz, He's dead"

"I know but look"

I show him this message. His eyes widen slightly, his face lost a splash of color.

"He always called you that but still Kendall it could be one of our enemies"

"I KNOW ARES FUCK. I know. I just needed that address. Thanks you're dismissed"

I really need to get back on my meds.

"Okay sorry boss"

He made his way to my door, glancing at me one last time before leave. I had to figure out who sent that message. I had no reason to let that slide plus I've been looking for some action lately but before I did anything, I needed sleep.
