The main thing that goes into naming a cat is their looks. A brown cat wouldn't have the Red prefix. Fur color, eye color¹, and patterns are a good place to start. Another thing to take into account for your cat is what their birth was like. Was there any weather going on? And you could always name them after plants and animals if all else fails.
Suffixes show personality or traits. You wouldn't see a shy cat with the suffix Storm. While Claw, Heart, Pelt, and Fur work great, they make your clans boring and lazy. Change things up, add a frost here and there.
