"You cant sulk all day," Hatsume said to Izuku who was currently sitting on his couch. He had a fluffy white blanket wrapped around his frame and a bucket of ice-cream in his lap. His green curls were messier than usual and under his deep emerald colored eyes held dark bags. His eyes were swollen and puffy from crying.

"I know..." Izuku whispered. His defeated tone making Hatsume sigh and plop next to him in the seat.

"You're a beautiful person," She stated as she reached for the tub of ice-cream. Izuku sighed defeated as the girl took the icy snack and placed it on the table in front of them.

"I really trusted him Mei-Mei," Izuku stated very quietly. He sniffled quietly as his eyes began to water again. He kept thinking about everything. He had witnessed his boyfriend of 2 years cheating on him. It broke his heart.

"I know you did baby," Hatsume was Izuku's best friend. They had known each other for years and she had stuck around him through everything. Even now she was there for him. She hated seeing her best friend break over a boy who she had warned him about.

She grabbed Izuku's hand and pulled him up with her off the sofa. He groaned in response. Her eyes saddened before she grabbed her keys and shook them to catch Izuku's attention.

"Let's go visit Inko,"

Izuku slowly nodded and took a deep breath. He excused himself before walking to his room and changing into a white sweater and black ripped jeans. Hatsume was waiting in the car by the time Izuku got back.

The car ride was silent and slow but eventually they pulled into the cemetery where Inko was buried. Izuku quickly made his way to her grave before sitting down on the grass and looking at the decorations he left there.

"Mom... I really fucking miss you," He started quietly. He reached over and fixed one of the planted pots of roses that had been knocked over.

"You told me I had a story, something to continue living for. A purpose. I wish you were here to guide me like you always did. You always knew how to help me. I'm 23 now and I still miss you as if it were yesterday. You were so quick to help others and Im sorry I wasnt there to help you..." Izuku spoke softly as tears slowly slipped down his freckled cheeks.

"You were always there and when you took your life it broke me. Im lost without you,"

Inko was a one of a kind mother. She had helped Izuku through everything he went through. They didnt have money or a good house. They struggled to get by but Izuku had his loving mother and thats all he needed until one day she wasnt there anymore.

"I'm so confused mom," he whispered. His eyes shut tightly and he swore he could feel his mother's presence around him. Her voice telling him it was going to be okay. He had a destiny. His mind flashed with images of a story book from his childhood and instantly he felt the need to read it again.

"Mei-Mei I need to go back home" He said quickly as he wiped his tears and stood up. He rushed over to the car and she started the car before driving back to his house.

"What happened!?" She asked as he rushed into the house and made his way up the stairwell.

"You're going to think I'm crazy but I had a fucking vision," He answered as he pulled the string to the attic. The ladder fell down and Izuku quickly climbed the stairs to the dusty attic.

"A vision of what Zuzu?" She pressed as Izuku tore through boxes of his mothers old stuff. All of a sudden he gasped and pulled out a large brown book. The spine of the book was dark brown with golden chains and the cover of the book was empty just a large picture of a forest with no title.

"I dont know exactly but this book was in it, My mom used to read it to me when I was little. It was about a barbarian prince and a dragon hybrid who went on these really crazy adventures with this healer and this enchantress. There were other characters but I dont remember them very well, but it was as if every day a new adventure took place," Izuku explained as he opened the book and laid it on the floor.

"It was as if the book was never-ending," He said before flipping to the first page. He read slowly but it wasnt the same as he remembered. The two children he had read about before were now adults. The barbarian prince and the dragon hybrid both being taller and older than Izuku remembered.

"Its different," He said as he continued to flip through the pages though after the 5th page the rest were blank.

"Izuku you sound crazy right now," Hatsume said as she reached over to take the book.

"Wait something is happening!" Izuku argued as he snatched the book. Both of their hands laid on the book as they tugged at it to get it. The room around them began to spin and the book began to glow.

"Izuku!?" Hatsume shouted as her body began to get pulled into the book. He hands slowly vanishing into the empty pages.

"Mei!" Izuku was vanishing as well. Their bodies being morphed into nothing as they were pulled into the story. Eventually their entire bodies faded into the book and a strong falling sensation over took them.

Izuku looked down and noticed the ground coming at them quickly.

"MEI!" He shouted again as he reached for his friend who took his hand as they both plummeted into the forest beneath them. Their loud screams making birds fly away and the ground rumbled beneath them as they slammed onto a tree.

Izuku was the first to react as he grabbed the branch, the wood cutting into his palm. He quickly reached out to catch Mei just in time her feet grazing the floor as he slapped their hands together. She slowly let go and let her feet touch the floor before helping Izuku down.

They looked around the forest quickly taking in their surroundings.

"Holy shit Izuku!" Mei practically screamed.

"Shut the fuck up! We dont want to attract any unnecessary attention!" Izuku hissed as he slapped his hand over her mouth.

"We were just sucked into your childhood story book!"
