Shadows Of The Past

CHAPTER 3

Suddenly I heard a loud thud and then everything seemed blurred .I was feeling so dizzy that everything blacked out .there was hue and cry in the office for next 24 hrs Alex seemed angry and tensed.
5 hrs later
I woke up and found myself in a hospital and Alex near me .I tried to get up but wasn't able to and felt   sharp pain in my spine and alex helped me to sit up . Are you okay?  he said with tensed brows .yeah kinda but what exactly happened i don't know remember anything . Umm he said with much hesitation. Somebody tried to kill you and the pain in your spine is because of the gunshot you got in your back . My eyes widen and took a glance towards my back side and saw bandages . Wait how who what why did it happen I started questioning myself . Don't worry we will get to that person he said while fidgeting with his fingers . Is there something you wanna say but you aren't telling me . I don't know how to tell you but this is a note I found pinned against the wall you were standing. What is it i asked and he handed me the note I was in complete shock after seeing the note . You are kidding me right alex this can't be true right . I swear Sarah this is what I found near your body and with a Arrow on it . But how can this be true Emily has disappeared more than 8 years ago and randomly i find a note threatening me to stay away from you and in Emilys handwriting that too sighned by her it's just too much illusional .  I guess you are right this is some sort of prank but I will soon find who was that bloody bastard. Yes i replied with sigh . Soon Alex left but I kept staring at the note it felt like as if something was missing and that too it's too important.
After two weeks
I just got discharged from the hospital and went home because I have been advised not to do any kind of work because it's still too dangerous. I am having my complete 8 hr sleep which I feel like I had after an eternity, it literally feels so peaceful sleeping for 8 hrs and watching your fav shows but after 2 days I have to get back to my job. In evening I got up and went to the grocery store to buy some vegetables in fruits and I reached home by 6:00 p.m.. it was my bedtime as tomorrow I was going to start my job again . as I have to get up early because I have a surgery. Suddenly my phone rang and I wasn't shocked i thought  maybe it's from the hospital but it's from Mr simson the police officer . I don't know why but my whole body was shaking and felt like someone is off I picked up the phone hello Mr simson how are you i asked . Ohh I am good , I got to know about the incident that happened with you and I am sorry to hear about it . Oh it's okay Mr Simpson I am fine now. Sarah the thing is I called you because I found the person who shot you but the thing is he is dead . A terror seized my whole body and i froze because I was getting a very creepy feeling after listening this .hello hello Sarah are you there . Yes yes Mr Simpson I am here I said assuring him . There is one more thing I want to talk about that this person came to the police station and robbed your sisters  file because it had been missing for two days and I didn't tell you because i thought you might get upset . Around his body we found your sisters files pieces . Thank you Mr Simpson letting me know I will call you tomorrow as soon as i said I Hung up the call. I was sweating out of fear but there was also a little hope that some trace of my sister can be found what actually happened to her . Suddenly an idea popped to my mind as I have no one in the city at the moment so I should tell alex about this matter he might know something.Because he was my sister's closest friend . I guess I will have to go to his office then after the surgery.
