Ah, yes, ninth grade.
The eleventh year out of eighteen that Vonellia apparently had. It was, of course, mightily boring, but somehow (nobody knows how) it had its highlights. Nothing to be excited about, though, but to be honest, when was there ever something exciting to talk about at Hezago's school?
January proved to be the start of another year at Vonellia. There's not a lot to say about this month, but things did happen. A few teachers decided it was about time to quit, nobody could blame them, the students they taught would drive anybody up the wall, and somebody, for a reason nobody could answer, was set on fire in a library of all places. One thing good about the school was its sprinkler systems.
Oh and, five people were pushed over the exact same bridge. How? Nobody knows, so don't ask.
Despite these seemingly mundane happenings, a discovery emerged from Vonellia's Science District: a cure for cancer- found in goblins. While this amazed many, Hezago, being not at all atypical, remained unfazed, as if he already knew it was going to happen.
Anyway, about the House of Memories, Hezago found out there were, oddly enough, documents that described every single possible future, most of which ended up with him alone, if he didn't seek assistance. He obviously didn't want that, and refusing to acknowledge how legitimately possible that was, he then proceeded to promptly retire to finding a solution to stop the decay of all existence, alone.
The next few months would yield nothing. It was surprisingly calm for a magic school, that is, until May.
May was...
Something, to say the least.
May, flowers, prairies, and apparently, at Vonellia, explosions. On the sixteenth floor to the northeast on the forty-sixth degree, there was an explosion. Now normally, in any other school, this would promptly be taken care of through evacuation, but this wasn't any other school, this was Vonellia. And Vonellia Academy of the Arts had more than nine trillion people under its belt, so you can imagine how well evacuations went.
Ignoring the twelve thousand people dead, we now turn to Professor Michelton, whose health was a major concern for a vast majority of the students. He would occasionally have these earth-rattling coughing fits, but, then again, that made sense when you realised that he was a talking train that had gained the ability to transform into a human, so coal in his lungs was more than likely the culprit. Oh, he apparently knew one of Hezago's predecessors, Melbourne Borealis, but that's not important.
On the subject of talking trains, though, the House of Memories apparently didn't have an explanation of Professor Michelton's existence, other than a rather vague diagram that was visibly rushed, like just drawings, so Hezago decided he'd revise it later on.
Switching to the subject of dead people, Juno would join that group, ironically, in June. You know, Hezago sometimes fails to remember that his words have more than just magnitude. Juno would receive what Hezago planned for him at a later date. Gloria was priority one, and he wouldn't give it up that easily.
Going on, November and December were the only noticeable months in which anything more actually happened, most of which wasn't very notable. Somebody, during that year's winter ball, managed to 'accidentally' set the decorations on fire, forcing the event to an early closure, but November violently refused to be upstaged by that, as the flooding of an entire floor around the size of what was Maine would remain engraved in the school janitor's memories forever.
Enough of that, on to Borealia. Borealia (unsurprisingly) was in turmoil. At any moment, it could shatter like Oliver running over a person at a fourth the speed of light, but even though Hezago knew all this, Queen or not, he wasn't about to do anything, and I mean anything about it.
He'd then proceed to do something about it.
With resistance groups forming against the council that Hezago vehemently hated, it seemed their power play was finally being unravelled and their Autocratic-like regime would finally be no more. However, there were groups that were (somehow) for the council, and against him, their Queen, but, as said, he'd deal with that later.
Anyway, ignoring the violence on the streets, this was just another plain and uneventful year in Vonellia. Lovely.

Hey! Welcome to the Borealis's list of fun facts!
Did you know?
Borealia's last ever civil war before being annexed was one of the deadliest events in history, second only to the Finnish-El Salvadorian hyperwar! Billions died, and in the government, only the Queen, who would later be revealed to be our Sol, survived, along with a few government agencies! Those in Congress, the Senate, and the Judiciary were found mauled, decomposing, or burned alive!
Fantastic!
