I remember the first day I met him. I was 18 and scrawny, unable to fight. Trouble found me. They cornered me. Holding weapons that just even more assured the power struggle. The leader was about to throw the first swing when a blood red, blinding light suddenly appeared, and his fist was being held back by a hand. Then, unknown identity scolded them, "You guys should really pick on someone of your own size." He said. Then, in a second, he beat them all and had them running away. The pure awe that was on my face showed greatly. He turned around at me. That's when I recognized him. The god that everyone hates. I was shocked that this was the guy that everyone spit insults towards and destroyed his tombs. I assume my shock came off as being scared because he instantly tried to assure me that he wasn't going to hurt me. "How are you so kind, yet everyone hates you?" I asked him. I could tell it took him by surprise. "Because I represent chaos and destruction. Two things that only the evil thrive on and the good suffer from." He was about to walk away. "That just can't be true." I screamed suddenly, out of impulse. "You saved me. How could you only represent vile things, yet save me.?" "That is a good question. Hopefully, I'll have a response the next time we meet." Then he turned the corner. My face broke into a gleaming smile at the prospect of meeting Arahabaki again. I decided then and there that I didn't care what people said of him. He was good. Any other god could have tried to save me, but they didn't, he did. I left and turned in the opposite direction he went. I went home to my house and immediately got to work on building a shrine. A shrine for my Arahabaki.
It wouldn't be till five years later, when we finally crossed paths again. I asked him, "Do you have a response for me yet?"
