𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙂𝙍𝘼𝙔 𝙒𝘼𝙆𝙀𝙎 𝙐𝙋 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙉𝙀𝙓𝙏 𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂, 𝙏𝙃𝙀 last thing he expects to hear is that Wells Jaha had been killed sometime in the night by grounders. While it had come as a shock to everyone, Gray doesn't really feel anything.

Wells was decent compared to most people, yeah, but his father is the person who either locked them all up or killed their parents. The discovery of Well's body has everyone on edge now, a majority of which no longer want to take their turn on watch. And while Gray understands that, he's also pissed at them because that means more work for him. But it's also getting the wall built quicker.

And for the last four days, his death is all anyone seems to be able to talk about.

Early this morning, Clarke had cleared Gray of his hand injury, but told him to take it easy. She said it wasn't sprained, but the shock of it colliding with the stone definitely put some strain on it. On that topic, Gray and Carson haven't talked to each other since their fight in the cave. And much to Gray's relief, the boy hasn't mentioned his episode to anyone, either.

Gray and Carson's matching black eyes are slowly healing, and Murphy still makes it his mission to mention them. At one point yesterday, Gray almost blew up on him, until Bellamy broke them up and scolded Murphy for picking a fight.

"You son of a bitch!" Clarke's voice echoes throughout camp, catching everyone's attention. Gray turns on his heel to find the blonde girl glaring at Murphy like he just stole her favorite toy. Murphy snickers and studies the girl with a smirk.

"What your problem?" He laughs.

Clarke holds up a knife in her right hand, making Murphy's face fall. "Recognize this?"

"That's my knife. Where'd you find it?"

When Murphy attempts to take his knife back, the girl pulls it away. Gray's brows furrow and he takes a few steps forward to join the crowd in this interesting conversation. "Where you dropped it after you killed Wells."

Gray almost laughs out loud at Clarke's bold accusation. He never thought he'd see the day where Clarke Griffin of all people would start a fight with someone. Gray knows Murphy isn't innocent, but he's not killer. Not yet, anyway. And he looks just as shocked as everyone else.

"Where I what?" When the girl doesn't answer and people start gathering around, Murphy takes a step forward. "The grounders killed Wells, not me."

Clarke's expression flickers between anger and hatred and hurt as she gets in Murphy's face. "I know what you did, and you're gonna pay for it."

"How can she even prove Murphy's the one that killed him?" Behind Gray, Carson has joined the crowd. There's technically no proof other than Murphy's knife stating who killed Wells. For all anyone knows, someone could've planted it there and is framing Murphy. Gray wouldn't put it against anyone in camp.

No one gets along with Murphy, and he's had the most issues with Wells out of everyone else in camp. Gray sure as hell wouldn't mind Murphy getting a taste of his own medicine for once.

"Bellamy, you really believe this crap?"

Murphy turns to the man, but when he says nothing, Gray realizes nobody is on Murphy's side. "You threatened to kill him. We all hears you. You hated Wells."

"Plenty of people hated Wells," Murphy scoffs. He rolls his eyes, raising his voice slightly. "His father was the chancellor that locked us up."

"Yeah, but you're the only one who got into a knife fight with him!"

Murphy grows annoyed with Clarke's accusations and continues to defend himself. "Yeah, I didn't kill him then, either."

"Tried to kill Jasper, too." Octavia's comment pulls a sniffle out of Gray, making a few heads turn. Carson glares at the back of the boy's head, but Gray doesn't acknowledge it. With the way the situation is going, whatever happens to Murphy isn't going to be pretty. Things like these never are. Gray knows from experience.
