"Are you sure your mother will like me, Julian?"
Soraya's clearly nervous voice spoke out as they swarmed down the streets of his hometown. Soraya had her arms wrapped around Julian's singular left arm.
"Stop worrying, I already told you." Julian replied with a cold undertone.
Soraya sighed at his lacking response, it didn't really spark confidence in her. Despite Julian finally accepting her confession, and reiterating that he returned the same feelings, Soraya couldn't help but still feel as though their relationship had changed nothing. He was cold to her, she usually found that attractive, but they had started dating over seven months ago. Seven months and the furthest they had gone was lightly kiss. Soraya knew Julian wasn't unexperienced or shy, she also wasn't, so she couldn't understand why he was so reluctant to pursue a more intimate relationship with her. Soraya's blondehair was let down in loose, wavy curls that reached down her lower back. She wore a simple white dress, one that was short at her thighs and tightly draped over her busty chest. She was determined to create a good impression on Julian's parents, so she went all out for a new outfit. It was disappointing to find that Julian didn't comment on it and had no opinion on her appearance. When she had asked him if she looked nice, he responded with "you look fine." Which was morally degrading to say the least.
They walked for almost ten minutes, interlinked at the arm but silently. It was frustrating for Soraya, the man of her dreams could barely string together an interesting sentence in the span of ten minutes. Arriving at the door, the blonde nervously held onto Julian as he knocked loudly. The door was opened ans they were greeted by a couple with bright smiles. Aveline Grey-Silver, Julian's mother was a beautiful woman, she had dark black hair and dark blue coloured eyes. Julian's father, Jackson Silver was similarly built like the man at Soraya's arm. He was tall, muscular, though much larger than her boyfriend, he had black hair with a few silver strands in his hair. He had a scar on his face, it was noticeable and his smile was captivating. Soraya bowed as a greeting towards them.
"Hello! I'm Soraya. It's wonderful to meet you."
She introduced herself, the Silver couple delightfully retorted by letting them into their house.
"Soraya! It's so wonderful to meet you. Julian has told us a lot about you!"
Aveline gleefully informed. Soraya could tell she was lying by the small twitch in her eye when she spoke. It was the same one Julian had when he lied. The blonde wanted to be upset that he hadn't spoken to his parents about her, but she always found herself to afraid to complain to him, in fear that he would leave her and she would've missed her chance. There is no way she could let that happen. The young couple were led forward to the dining room by their older counterparts to find a dinner that was set for four already.
"Your mother went overboard, Julian. I hope you're hungry, Soraya."
Jackson spoke out, he approached behind the young blonde girl, pressing his large hand against her back as to guide her to her seat. Soraya lightly gasped, his hand was cold and made her body slightly shiver, it reminded her of Julian desperately. She carefully took a seat to where she was guided, next to Julian. Across from her was Jackson, and Aveline sat in front of Julian.
"The food looks delicious, thank you." Soraya told Aveline, who blushed in return.
"Thank you, these two never appreciate my cooking."
She said with a slight huff, a relief that someone in their family would relate to her interests. As the conversation at the table progressed, Julian had went on a tangent about a club he had recently visited. Soraya smiled lovingly as she watched him tell his parents about his friends. Soraya tried to not let it bother her, but Julian made a point of talking mostly about his 'favourite' female friends, Lucy and Erika. The blonde girl's demeanour had obviously changed, despite her trying to hide it. She had never met Julian's friends, per his choice. He always told her that it wasn't the right time, or that they were busy... but sometimes Julian would spend most of his week with his friends and Soraya was never invited. Aveline didn't seem to notice the change in Soraya's mood, captivated in her son's story telling, but Jackson noticed. He carefully examined the younger girl as the blonde strands of her hair fall over the sides of her face, as she becomes more silent while eating, Jackson had noticed that his son didn't talk so intently about his partner, and assumed she was aware of this fact.
