Today was launch day! I got ready like normal and went to the office, only difference is that now I worked for Brad. I decided to wear something a little more casual then normal so I wore a small skirt, tight black long sleeve turtleneck, and boots.

"Good morning, boss," I said, peeking into the office before I walked in.

"Don't ever stop calling me that," Brad replied with a grin.

"Of course, boss," I affirmed, meeting his gaze as he looked me up and down.

"As your new boss, I want you to wear an outfit like that every day," Brad said, his tone decisive.

"You got it! Do you want me to go grab us coffee?" I offered.

"That'd be amazing," Brad replied with a grin.

"On my way," I said, heading towards the coffee machine.

As I began making our drinks, a guy approached me. "Hi, are you new here?" he asked.

"Yes! I'm YN, Brad's new assistant," I replied with a smile.

"Oo tough," he commented, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"And who are you?" I inquired.

"My name's Josh," he answered.

"Hello, Josh," I greeted warmly as I finished preparing the coffees.

"Well, I should probably get back. Nice to meet you." I said, picking up the cups.

"Can I walk you back to his office?" Josh asked, and I accepted his offer.

As we walked, Josh initiated a conversation. "So, how do you like working for Mythic Quest?"

"Oh, actually, I don't work for them. I work directly for Brad. But the office is nice, people are nice, I like it here," I replied.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you had worked for Mythic Quest, right?" Josh inquired further.

"Yeah, I did, but then I switched," I explained.

"What changed your mind?" Josh asked curiously.

"Brad!" I exclaimed with a laugh. "But it's basically the same job, so..."

Upon returning to Brad's office, I noticed his stern expression as he looked at Josh.

"Bye, Josh!" I said cheerfully as I approached Brad's desk.

"Bye, YN," Josh replied before leaving.

"Here you go," I said, handing Brad his coffee.

"Who was that?" Brad asked, his tone slightly mad.

"Josh!" I replied casually.

"Yeah, but do you know him? You guys are friends or what?" Brad questioned.

"I mean, I just met him, like 10 minutes ago," I clarified.

"Hm, interesting. I might not let you go places alone anymore if you start talking to other guys," Brad remarked.

"Well, guess you'll just have to start coming with me everywhere," I teased.

"Guess that's what we'll have to do," Brad agreed with a smirk.

We worked at our desks for a while longer and went downstairs to let everyone know the good news.

"I just got the full analysis. Steam, Reddit, Twitter, all positive," Brad announced with a satisfied grin.

"Woo!" I cheered, unable to contain my excitement.

Brad smiled down at me, his approval evident.

"And the most purchased item?" Ian inquired, wanting to delve deeper into the details.

"The Homesteader Package," Brad revealed.

"And... are they saying why?" Ian pressed on.

"Best weapon. Number one reason: 'cool sound'. The number two reason: 'cool backstory'," Brad explained, his tone reflecting both pride and amusement.

"Oh... where's C.W.?" Ian scanned the area, noticing the absence of another colleague.

"Haven't seen him," David replied with a shrug.

"Well, Poppy, your job is done. You gave people the tools. Now let's see what they're doing with them," Ian remarked, acknowledging Poppy's contribution to the success of the launch.

He motioned towards the wall of monitors, where the game play of different users from all over the world was displayed.

Ian nodded. "And there you have it."

"So, how'd you like your first launch?" Brad inquired.

"It was cool seeing people like it so much and everyone is so happy!" I replied with enthusiasm.

"Yeah, right. So, since I now know I can't leave you alone, come with me to my office to grab a drink," Brad suggested.

"Okay," I agreed.

They walked back to Brad's office, and he grabbed a beer.

"You want one?" Brad offered.

"Oh, uh, not old enough to drink" I admitted.

Brad raised an eyebrow. "How old are you?"

"Oh, uhm, I'm 18," I confessed.

"Fresh out of high school, huh?" Brad remarked.

"Yeah, college was not my path," I explained.

"And your parents were okay with that?" Brad asked.

"Yeah, they didn't mind," I reassured him.

"Where are you from?" Brad inquired further.

"I was born and raised in Florida," I answered.

"Ah, so how do you like it here?" Brad questioned.

"Oh, I love it so much," I replied.

"Think you'll be here for the rest of your life?" Brad probed.

"As long as you're here," I said softly, catching Brad off guard.

"I love that answer. You're a great assistant, you know that," Brad complimented, stepping in closer to me and removing most of the distance between us, pinning me onto his desk just like the last time.

"Oh, uh, thank you," I stammered, shivers running down my back.

"But there are some other things you can help me with, just a little more personal," Brad suggested with a suggestive tone.

He grabbed my waist to bring me even closer to him and ducked his head down to start kissing my neck. He moved his hand down to my lower back and moves it up and down going from my back and down to my skirt.

He removes his lips from my neck to say "Is this okay?"

"Yeah yeah keep going" I desperately reply.

He moves his lips up to my jaw and starts gently kissing it, his other hand supporting himself on the desk as the other one is still lingering my lower back.

"BRAD!" We hear someone call from the hallway. He removed his lips from me and stood right next me with barely any distance between us and his hand still on my lower back.

C.W barges into the room and tells his Ian is calling him.

Brad glanced at YN, his expression serious. "Can I trust you to go home by yourself without talking to anyone?"

YN nodded confidently. "Yes, boss, I can do that all by myself."

"Good girl," Brad remarked with a tone of approval.

He places a light kiss on my cheek and we said our goodbyes. I grab my things and head home.

I lay in my bed and replay the memories from today smiling.
