This is it..
This is the day that I, Angelina Miller, was going to an interview at Malik Incorporation.
I rumbled through my hallway of my apartment, tripping a few times, over my boxes from my recent move to Los Angeles. I moved here approximately five days ago, coming solely for an amazing chance to work at Malik Incorp. a few blocks away. I've been waiting years, months, and days for this interview. I lived for this day and nothing is going to stop me from doing my best.
My heart stopped at the sound of my alarm, telling me if I dont leave now, I'll be late. I sighed and searched through the rest of my living room for my keys.
"Keys, where are you?" I growled under my breath as I threw my cushions off my couch. My apartment was a total mess, but I didnt think much of it. Normally my roommate, Cassidy, would clean it up, but she is still unpacking her things.
When I finally found my keys, I rushed out the door and down the stairs. I jumped inside my Juke and headed towards the building. I left about 30 minutes earlier just so I could make it in time. When I pulled up toward the huge building, I saw the big words hanging above the door.
Malik Incorporation
My jaw dropped at the size of the building.
Before I got out of the car, I pulled my hair up in a high ponytail and checked myself in the rearview mirror. Today, I decided that I should let Cassidy do my makeup because it needed to look professional. I must admit that it looks way better than my simple eyeliner and mascara.
As I walked towards the building, I noticed many people were running arround. I couldn't even find the front door because of all of the people. Finally, I made my way into the building without being pushed or shoved. The building was very high and beautiful. The whole building was made of glass, letting me see all the people moving and walking around.
When I got inside, I walked straight to the elevator, seeing that I've been here thousands of times just to look around. Pushing the button for the elevator, a women tapped my shoulder.
"Hi, do you know how I can get to Mr.Malik's office?" This wasn't a women. It was a girl my age, she had long blonde hair that was braided to the side, a white blouse with a matching black and white skater skirt, and a folder in her hand that said resume.
"No, sorry," I say, just as I was stepping onto the elevator. She gave me a faint smile before the elevators doors shut. I smiled to myself, knowing exactly where his office was.
I pushed myself out of the evevator and in front of the main desk.
"I'm here for my interview," I say nicely. The man behind the desk seemed to be busy with his phone that he didn't even look up when I talked.
"Down the hall and to the right," he grumbled. I rolled my eyes and decided to keep my mouth shut. I shiver at the thought of him becoming my co-worker.
My hands started to sweat as I walked down the bright hallway. I glanced through the offices as I walked by and saw nobody inside them. It must be lunch hour or something. I stopped at the last door on the right and prep myself before knocking.
'You can do this, YOU can do this, you c-' before I had a chance to finish, the door was yanked open.
"Are you going to stand there all day or what?" A young man, with shaggy brown hair was standing in front of me. He was wearing a every nice suit that look like it cost more than my car and apartment combined. I'm not gonna lie, he was hot.
"look, you're wasting my time," he said, rolling his eyes.
"Sorry, I'm Angelina," I reached my hand out for him to shake but he just stared at me with disgust. I sighed and pulled my hand back. wow, rude much.
"I'm here for my interview," I say. He sighs, before opening the door. I could tell that this man had a very short temper and was annoyed very easily. I decided that I would keep my cool and try to be on my best behavior. If I don't get this job because I end up going off on this man...
"Please, sit" I nod before sitting down on the couch. I smooth out my dress and fold my hand in my lap. I was starting to get a little bit nervous. What if he thinks I have an attitude and decides not to hire me? or what if he thinks I'm not worthy of this job just because I dont have as much money as him?
"I'm Louis," he grabs some paper work and sits down at a big glass desk. He looks so unpleased at my appearance, shaking his heading at me.
"Mr.Malik isn't here today, so I'm holding his interviews,"
~~~~~~~~~~~
After the interview was done, I thank Louis and was making my way towards the elevator. The interview was great and I would be so surprised if I didnt get the job. I said everything that I practiced and I didn't even have to punch the idiot. I hate people like him, think I'm not good enough or a peice of trash just because I didnt have a lot of money or not in the same social class.
The elevator doors were closing, when a voice was calling me to wait. I stopped the doors and waited for the person to show. A boy, probably around my age, maybe a couple years older, walks in with his head held high. He's in a suit that's looks more expensive then Louis, but when I laid eyes on him, I sucked in a breath.
To say he was hot was an understatement, this man is beautiful. He had dark hazel eyes and jet black hair that was styled into a neat quiff. Something about him upset me but I dont know exactly what it is.
Smirking he said, "Like what you see?" I immediately tear my eyes away. I stare at my new shoes until he speaks up.
"I'm Zayn, Zayn Malik," he says with a cocky grin. And in that moment, I knew, Zayn Malik, was going to change my life forever.
