In the midst of the bustling royal party, with guests settling into their seats and indulging in the delights of dance and sweets, Lysandra sat beside Jong-min, her expression lit up with a mischievous smile. Her gaze seemed to wander aimlessly, yet behind her playful facade, an idea sparked to life.
It seems like Lysandra is considering the potential of individuals with awakened abilities to gain status and influence in high society.

Expanding an aura of life-force from her body, Lysandra carefully controlled its thickness, ensuring it remained subtle enough not to draw attention from other awakened individuals.

To her surprise, Lysandra discovered that the emperor, his heir, and possibly all his other children from the concubines were awakened people or in the process of forming their cores. However, the density of the life-force they contained wasn't much different from ordinary people, indicating that their awakened power wasn't particularly powerful. This raised the question: what was their ability?

Aside from the royal family, Lysandra found another family known for their impeccable swordsmanship and possessing awakened abilities. Observing their prowess, she concluded that their abilities likely revolved around enhancing physical strength and combat skills.

Lysandra was well aware of her own selfishness and greed, which often manifested in her possessiveness over Jong-min and her desire for control. She didn't settle for just him; she wanted everything under her control, as evidenced by her demand for a vow to ensure loyalty from those she empowered. Now, that same hunger stirred within her again. She craved to learn any force control she could get her hands on, and she devised a plan with no shame to gain control over the two awakened families, regardless of the consequences.

As Lysandra excused herself from the party hall, Jong-min questioned her departure. She simply told him she wanted to stroll the royal garden alone. Unbeknownst to anyone, including Jong-min, the emperor slipped away, eager to follow the woman who had captivated his attention.
As Lysandra gracefully traversed the royal garden, her every step seemed to echo with an ethereal grace. She moved with a serene confidence, her eyes absorbing the intricate beauty of the flora around her. Unbeknownst to her, the emperor observed her every move from a discreet distance, his gaze unwavering as he took in her presence.

Approaching a closed flower, Lysandra's delicate hand reached out, and as if in response to her divine touch, the flower obediently unfurled its petals, revealing its inner splendor. The bloom seemed to dance in the gentle breeze, eager to showcase its magnificence before the enigmatic figure before it.

The emperor, recognizing the significance of the flower's reaction, swiftly connected the dots. He understood that Lysandra possessed abilities akin to his own and those of his esteemed lineage. With a silent determination, he glided gracefully beside her, his movements mirroring her own, mindful not to startle her despite his regal presence. Even though he approached without a word, he knew that little could surprise someone of Lysandra's caliber.

As the emperor approached, Lysandra greeted him with a serene smile, her eyes betraying none of the amusement she felt internally. She reciprocated his polite greeting with grace, acknowledging his presence with a nod of her head.

Internally, Lysandra couldn't help but chuckle at the emperor's sudden change in demeanor. Before she revealed any inkling of her abilities, he had merely observed her from afar, like a curious onlooker. Now, with her powers laid bare, he seemed eager to engage in conversation.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, the emperor wasted no time in broaching the purpose of their encounter

him: lady if I may ask , are you also a dragon descendant. in other words do you  have royal blood in you . he said  with a glint in his eyes that gave off confidence. The emperor's inquiry about Lysandra's lineage caught her off guard, but she couldn't suppress a chuckle at the mention of being a "dragon descendant." Playing dumb, she feigned confusion, prompting the emperor to elaborate, citing her manipulation of the plant as evidence of her ancestry.

"I don't think I follow you, your majesty?" Lysandra responded innocently, hiding her amusement at his words.

The emperor, undeterred, pointed out the similarities between their abilities, attributing them to their respective dragon lineages. As he transformed, revealing his draconic features, quickly lysandra analysed his ability with help of her skill [wisdom] , deeming it a basic strength enhancement type.

Observing the emperor's transformation, Lysandra seized the opportunity to replicate his ability, As Lysandra's transformation continued, her body underwent a remarkable metamorphosis. Vibrant emerald scales emerged, covering her skin in a mesmerizing display of color and texture. Her eyes took on a serpentine appearance, glinting with an otherworldly gleam reminiscent of a cunning predator.

Not content with merely matching the emperor's transformation, Lysandra's height surpassed even that of the dragonman, towering over him with an imposing presence. As if to further accentuate her newfound power, beautiful woody horns sprouted from her forehead, intertwining like a crown of branches fit for a forest queen.

The culmination of her abilities resulted in a breathtaking spectacle, a testament to her mastery over life force manipulation. While the transformation may have altered her other learned abilities, Lysandra welcomed these changes without complaint, embracing the evolution of her powers with silent satisfaction.

"Magnificent indeed!! You're probably from a powerful dragon," the emperor exclaimed in awe of her transformation.

Internally amused by his misconception, Lysandra diplomatically affirmed his assumption, concealing her amusement at his ignorance.

"Indeed, your majesty," she responded with a regal demeanor, her internal laughter at his belief in his supposed dragon lineage contrasting with her composed exterior. She couldn't help but chuckle inwardly at the emperor's folly, realizing the reason behind his obsession with dragon statues in his palace.

As the emperor offered her a seat as princess of the empire or even the position of the wife of his son, the heir, Lysandra immediately refused. She saw through his intentions, recognizing his greed for power and his desire to either manipulate her or sideline her to prevent her from challenging his rule.

Despite his attempts to sway her, Lysandra stood firm in her decision. She made it clear that she would not abandon the Aurelius clan, the foundation she and Jong-min had worked tirelessly to establish. While assuring the emperor that she harbored no ambitions for his throne, she kept her true intentions hidden, knowing that her plans for the future required a solid base of operations.

Internally, Lysandra plotted her next moves, understanding that securing control over the future of South Korea would be crucial for her ambitions. However, she bided her time, knowing that patience and strategic planning would be key to achieving her goals without arousing suspicion.
