**Noahs' Point Of View**

I was ready, almost too eager. I managed to get myself dressed and prepared by half seven. I didn't need to be there until half eight. My school trousers were surprisingly comfortable and we had to wear a shirt and a pullover, it looked smart but felt horrible.

"Noah are you ready?" Alex shouts up the stairs as I walk down them

"Yeah, How'd I look?" I say looking at Travis and Alex

"You look so grown up"

"Wow, I've got good taste in clothing" Travis jokes before putting his papers in his bag and his laptop and kissing Alex on the cheek and Joshua on the head. "Must dash, student's to teach and work to finish"

"I'll see you later" I say to him as he gives me a hug

"Bu-By-eeee" Joshua mumbles

"This is certainly a transformation" Sophie says walking through the lounge doors

"What, from just boxers to school uniform?" I reply

"Yeah. You look smart"

"Morning Soph, Coffee?" Alex asks as I play with Joshua

"Not for me, I've got to be there early and I came to steal your son"

"Go ahead, he's just been fed. Travis actually fed him for a change"

"Wow, my little brothers growing up. Next Noah'll start doing it"

"Hopefully"

"I'll catch you boys later, see ya"

"Bye Soph"

I walk to the fridge and grab a bottle of water and my lunch out to put in my bag, I was nervous but looking forward to it.

"Come on you, lets go" Alex says grabbing his coffee cup off the worktop and his keys out of the bowl.

We walk towards the door and I make sure I've got everything, Keys, Pens, Lunch, Mobile... Yep all good. In the car Alex puts on BBC Radio 1 which was just great.

**

The car drive was dull and occasionally Alex would sing along to the radio trying to lighten the mood. Juxton Academy was a brightly coloured building that looked more like a fun activity centre than a school. I wasn't complaining, Oxford High looked like a prison. We get out the car and I throw my bag strap over my shoulder,

"Here we go" I say to Alex as we walk through the office doors and into the school building,

"Hi, We're here to see Mr. James" Alex says to the lady behind the desk

"Yep, go on through" She says showing us a door

Alex knocks and a loud voice tells us to enter.

"Good Morning, I'm Mr. James. You must be Noah" He says to me holding out his hand. Finally some chivalry!

"Morning" I reply shaking his hand

"Alex, nice to see you again. We just need you to sign a bit of paper then you can be on your way to work"

"Cool," He says as he signs a bit of paper.

"So Noah, welcome to Juxton Academy. I'm sure you'll fit right in here. We've got expert staff to help with all types of needs" He starts as Alex high fives me and then leaves. "Lets start with a tour"

He walks me out of the office and admin area and into the main school building. Corridors lined with lockers and the occasional door. Teachers with keycards wander the hallway and they all look casually dressed, like jeans with a shirt. Mr. James shows me my locker, thankfully its on the first corridor so I'll know where to go. I put my bag in my locker and take out my phone and keys then we continue down the corridor into the blue area which was english, art and music.

"Heres the creative zone which, by what what Alex has told me, you'll be spending lots of time in" He says

We walk down the corridor which merges into a green colour.

"This zone is for Geography, Biology and P.E because green, outdoors, living things... You get the picture"

Everything was colourful. He leads me down the red corridor, it looked pretty creepy.

"Red Zones are History, Chemistry, Physics and The Time Out Zone, but should you ever need to go in there we are yet to find out"

And finally we reach the purple corridor, it's a lot bigger than the other corridors, assuming there's more to do?

"Purple corridor, teachers offices, teachers lounge and four sensory rooms. This room here-" Mr. James explains whilst knocking on the door "- is home to Sam, your tutor, mentor and key worker whilst you're here"

"Hey, Noah isn't it?" Sam says to me smiling

"Yeah, New kid" I reply.

'Well, I'm going to leave you in Sams capable hands to run a few tests and see where you're at." Mr. James says before walking away.

Sam leads me into his office, it looked like something out of a kids dream. it had blue walls and funky chairs, a sofa and a coffee table. It wasn't huge from the outside but once you stepped inside, it was massive. He hands me a bit of paper and asks me to fill it in, its all general stuff: name, date of birth, address which I didn't know, transport, my number, my house number, parents number, parents name... etc. Then it went onto school, favourite subjects, least favourite subjects, best subject, worst subject.

The next sheet he handed me was a quiz, probably to test my knowledge. The english part was easy but the maths and science, they were too hard. I struggled with maths forever, I was always in the bottom set and I would just get frustrated with myself if I couldn't do it because everyone else could so why couldn't I? I finish it and hand it back to Sam who files it in a folder with Noah Austin written on it.

"So, timetables and the boring school stuff" He starts "heres your timetable and planner. Homework in here and make sure you stick to this. Going by the marks from your previous school, we've put you in mainstream English, P.E but you're here for maths and science. We've put a few more creative courses on because you've got to do at least one full day here at Juxton so we did Friday and its where you have more creative lessons."

"Uh, thanks?" I say unsure of what I should

"Breaks in 10 minutes so you can either hang out here until then or you can go get whatever from your bag and make it outside before everyone else."

"I'm going to go and find my locker"

"I'll see you in media to make sure you're fitting in okay and the boys haven't given you a rough time"

I smile and walk down the corridor. I find my locker sure enough and and get out my drink, I felt sick and maybe it was because of the first day and things. I really didn't know. But Hey! My first lesson was in 20 minutes and I was actually looking forward to it.
