Kali and I had no clue where we wanted to go. We decided to check into a hotel in downtown LA, it was a little pricey, but we kind of expected that. The hotel from the outside looked like its been through a few battles, but seemed stable enough to stay in for at least a week so we can get our feet under ourselves. Thinking back and not having a plan before we came here was a horrible idea.

"Aine. Our room is blue". Blue is Kali's favorite color, along with white. Mine have always been darker shades of red, even to the point where it looks black.

"Oh yay, now I can listen to you squeal in excitement every time we walk in!" I say as I bounce up and down clapping my hands ferociously. Kali has always hated my sarcasm, it only drives me to do it more often.

"You know I hate your sarcasm. And if you continue to use it, I will leave you." She says as I turn my back to her walking to the door.

"Sweetie, no matter how hard you'll try to leave, I'll have you crawling back" and with a wink, and my butt popped out, I walk out and close the door.

I had forgotten my phone in my car and I needed it to call my Aunt Hope, she's the only family member I had left. I never knew who my dad was, or even my mom. I had lived with my aunt since birth, there's not one picture I have of my parents. My aunt used to tell me that I'm better off not knowing my dad, she used to tell me, "Your father was a heartless man, cruel to the core. His only wish is to make other people suffer, now, you must never speak of him." And that would be the end of it. I have never talked to her about him since that, I have been to afraid of the out come. I think she's been hiding something from me, but I'm in LA now, I don't have time to worry about that.

As I reach my car, I see a red sticky note on my driver side window. We've only been here for what, 8 minutes? and I already have a secret admirer! Or maybe a stalker.. Who would stalk me in LA? There were thousands of questions running through my head as I walked up to my car. As I neared, I could finally read what it said. "Nice Car! :)" in big curvy letters. What the actual hell. As I peeled it off, I noticed more on other cars, all with different compliments. If this is a normal thing, I'm not going to be happy. I unlocked my car, reached in and grab my phone. I suddenly got the sensation of someone looking at me. You know the feeling where your body physically burns because someone's eyes are burning holes into your back? yeah that one. I slowly straighten up out of my car and move far enough away so that I can close my door, but close enough where I could hop back in and drive away if needed. I turn around, and to my surprise, there's no one. Of course there's not one single person around. I swear 15 minutes here and I'm already going crazy. Lovely.
