Isabella Pov:
I wake up to the sound of glass shattering. I stand up hastily and close my door. Soon enough I hear footsteps coming towsrds my room. "Isabella", my mother shouts. I don't think she deserves this title anymore. Since my little sister died she changed. She was always bad but in the last few years it got so much worse.
We live in a small house in NY. My little sister, Emilia, was my only friend and the only person who was nice to me. My mother on the other hand was always angry with me and would punish me for things that weren't my fault. Let's just say she had her own way of raising and punishing me. Emilia was always the favorite child. In my moms eyes she could never do anything wrong or be bad at anything. She was a literal angel to her. Well I'm not gonna say she wasn't one. She was the kindest person i've ever met.
Bang Bang Bang
"Open the door, Isabella"
I slowly open the door. I instantly regret it. My mom raises her hand and it lands directly on my cheek. "This is all your fault!" I know mom, I know. Tears start forming in my eyes.
She takes off her belt and starts beating me with it. I try to run but theres nowhere to go.
"Stay here you brat. Thats what you get for being such a whore. You murdered your sister. You killed her! You deserve this!"

This continues for hours until she gets enough and leaves. I force myself to stand up and go to the bathroom. I look at my reflection and silently start crying. There are bruises all over my face and body. My clothes are now just shreds hanging off my body. My back has long wounds from the belt. I take out the ointment and start to carefully put it on my wounds and my stinging cheek
I put on a loose shirt an lock my door before I lay down. Everything hurts but over time I've became numb. People say you get used to the pain. Thats a lie. You just start to accept it. These are two very different things.
After some time I fall asleep from pure exhaustion.
