Ever since the day Jungkook had his outburst with Jimin, the two haven't communicated. The younger asked for them to meet at their usual spot to clear the misconception and tension between themselves. Since their childhood together, Jungkook has never felt so nervous to talk to him.
Jungkook waited patiently, he shook his head when he heard the usual ring of the bell, indicating someone had come into the cafe. He gulped hardly watching the delicate figure walk to him. He stood to welcome him, his palms became sweaty as he tried to steady his heavy breath.
"Jimin, I...I'm sorry about that day, i -" The maknae was shocked by the other's sudden embrace. It felt warm. He missed this so much. He hugged him back, inhaling his soft scent, the scent that always calmed him.
"I missed you, kookie."
"I missed you more, jimin-ssi." the elder hugged him tighter. After a while, they broke apart and sat in their seats. It got a bit quiet. "I know you have questions."
"What happened, Kookie?"
"I..." he looked down."I just realized how much you mean to me. I don't want my bad attitude to push you away, jimin-ah."
"But I'm not going anywhere, kookie...I'm right here, aren't I?"
"No, jimin-ah, you were suffering from me in silence, don't lie to me to make it better." Jungkook stated. They both got silent before Jimin held the younger's hand.
"You are my friend, Kook... we've been friends for more than a decade, I can never leave you" the maknae smiled.
After they both reconciled, they said their goodbyes, and Jungkook left to go home. As the maknae walked into the living room, he heard Taehyung talking to someone over the phone. It seemed like a video call.
"Yeah, he's okay...oh, look, he's here."
"What?"
"Your dad's on a video call, say hi." Tae smiled, but the maknae didn't seem interested.
"I'm not in the mood."
"But -"
"No," Jungkook stated sternly, running upstairs.
"Why doesn't he want to talk to me?"
"I don't know Mr jeon" Tae replied over the phone. "Can I call you back, sir?"
"Mm." Taehyung ended the call, storming upstairs to the younger's bedroom. He opened the door to see a lazy maknae slouching on his king-sized bed staring at the ceiling.
"Jk, what was that? Since your dad left, you haven't talked to him. Why won't you-"
"That's not your business, and can't you knock?"
"I don't give a shit jk, why aren't you talking to your dad?" The younger stood up annoyed and frustrated by the other's interference.
"I said, it's not your business!"
"Really?" Taehyung questioned, clearly a bit pissed off.
"Why do you care huh? It's not like you're even related to us in any way! Fuck, you're just my father's slave!" Jungkook spat without thinking.
"Slave.." Taehyung smiled bitterly, bobbing his head.
"I-"
"I may be a worker, but I don't sell my dignity and self-respect. Get that right." tae spoke, leaving the other's room instantly. The younger kicked his bed in frustration whilst holding his head.
Taehyung stormed out of the house angrily. All his life he worked for Mr. Jeon nonstop, sometimes it felt like he was a slave and that messed him up. He didn't know where he was going, he just fled.
