Complete silence. Not a word left the mouth of those who were present at the table. Alisteir sat in an awkward silence staring at the food in front of him, when he realised that Jason was elbowing him.

-What?- he whispered to him.

-Mother asked a question.

-What is it?- replied Alisteir.

-How have you been?

-You mean all these years that you have missed from my life? Quite good actually, I enjoyed the peace while it lasted. In case you want to do something with me, please don't look for me.

They ignored his comment.

-So, I've heard that you decided to join the DSW.

-No, I didn't. People just assume that for some reason.

They ignored this comment too.

-Aren't you gonna eat? - asked his mother. -You are very slim.

-Yeah, I didn't have much money to have a full meal every time. But it looks like you didn't miss a bite.

They didn't ignore this comment.

-YOU left us. - his father raised his voice.

-YOU told me to do so. You kept telling me that if you aren't appreciated somewhere, then maybe that's not the place for you. Don't even think that I didn't realise what you were talking about. You were the shitiest parents of all time. And Jason is no different! At least he had the balls to apologise, not that I've forgiven him. Then you decided to invite me to an expensive meal showing off that you are still doing just as fine as the day you excluded me.

-We wanted to love you!

-I guess you ran out of space, then? Jason must have taken up too much with his charming smile. -Alisteir hit the table and made his way towards the staff room. The elevator opened when he inserted the key. And he watched as Jason ran after him, unable to reach him.
