Breakfast was often a quit affair.
Most of the time, the sky was still caught a hazy gray by the time they all woke up, and the constrast of morning people to not-morning people was about 100 to 1.
Shane was maybe the only fully awake person from the group. Everyone else was sitting by the fire eating their eggs. Rhea was sitting on the floor by her father's foot, who was sitting on one of the chairs.
Xander was sitting next to her and he was the only one that noticed the weird looks Glenn kept sharing with Maggie, who was standing across the yard on the porch.
She was slightly shaking her head at him, but he would looked away and nibble on his food.
With a quiet shuffle, Glenn stood from his chair and nervously made his way to the front of the fire.
He wiped his sweaty palms on the side of his pants and cleaned his throat to gather their attentions.
"Um, guys?" He rubbed his hand across his face and looked at his shoes nervously.
A few people shifted their sleepy stares from their food to him. Rhea and Xander kept their eyes on their friend, who for some reason couldn't meet the teenagers eyes.
"So..." He swing his hands nervously "The barn is full of walkers."
T-Dog choked on his coffee, Xander froze mid-way through biting his eggs, Rhea was looking at her friend with wide eyes.
Rick had a great difficulty swallowing the eggs in his mouth. He then quickly stood up with everyone else following after him, as he lead the way to the barn.
Rhea could hear the loud snarls coming from the walkers inside.
Shane was first to stop by the huge double doors and tugged at the padlock, but then he leaned close to the walls to take a look inside.
He quickly backed away, when a walker snarled loudly from inside. Shane stalked back to the others angrily and rounded on Rick "You can not tell me you're alright with this?"
"No, I'm not!" Rick cleched his jaw and shook his head furiously "But we're guests here. This isn't our land."
Shane ripped his hat angrily off "For god's sakes, this is our lives man!" He yelled angrily at him.
"Lower your voices!" Glenn whispered being the nervous one in the group and looked back to the house worried Hershel would hear.
"Shut your fucking mouth Shane!" Rhea snarled at his direction, making the man turn his glare towards the teenager, who returned the glare.
"We can't just sweep this under the rug. It isn't right." Andrea told them as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"It ain't right, not remotely." T-dog said.
