The city's pulse quickened; its rhythm syncopated with danger. Griffin—wounded but resolute—leaned against the cold brick wall. His side throbbed, blood seeping through his fingers. Malachi Viper had struck—a venomous bite that left Griffin reeling.

Isabella knelt beside him, her eyes fierce. "Justice," she whispered, tearing a strip from her shirt to bind his wound. "We'll stop him, Griffin. No matter what."

Mr. Shark's voice crackled over the communicator. "Malachi's heading for the old subway tunnels—the artifact awaits."

"Redemption," Griffin gasped, pushing himself upright. "We can't let him unleash chaos."

They followed the serpent's trail—through dimly lit passages, past graffiti-covered walls. The tunnels whispered secrets—of forgotten civilizations, of forbidden knowledge. Griffin's steps faltered, but Isabella's hand steadied him.

"Freedom," she said, her voice unwavering. "We protect this city, Griffin. Even if it costs us everything."

Malachi awaited—a silhouette against the tunnel's mouth. His eyes held madness, his laughter echoing off the damp walls.

"What do you seek?" Griffin demanded, pain lacing his words.

Malachi's grin widened. "Not redemption," he hissed. "Power. The artifact will rewrite reality—the ultimate freedom."

Isabella stepped forward, her blade gleaming. "Justice," she said. "Not at the cost of our world."

"Redemption," Griffin roared, lunging. But Malachi sidestepped, his blade slicing Griffin's side anew. Pain exploded, stars dancing at the edges of Griffin's vision.

Isabella's cry echoed—her blade finding its mark. Malachi staggered, blood staining his shirt. But he laughed—a man possessed.

"Freedom," he spat, lunging at Isabella. She dodged, but his blade grazed her arm. Griffin stumbled, his vision swimming.

As dawn approached, they stood in the heart of the tunnels, the moon fading. Malachi's silhouette wavered—a phantom, weaving through the veins of destiny. Justice had a new battleground, and redemption hung in the balance.

Griffin fell to his knees, darkness closing in. Isabella's face blurred—a lifeline he couldn't lose. "Protect the city," he gasped. "For us."

And as Isabella fought on, Griffin's world fractured—a shadow slipping into oblivion.
