Bio:
- Same upbringing as Zeke up until he enters the Warrior programme. Instead, Ionia was placed into a new experimental programme aiming to bond humanity and nature to create unique elite soldiers that would work well alongside the Titans.
- In 843, the programme was officially scrapped and designated a failure as 99 of the 100 volunteers were killed during the 'bonding' phase. The only known success and survivor was Ionia.
With Dina and Grisha dead, or at least, thought dead, and Zeke in the warrior programme, Ionia was abandoned on Paradis Island where she wandered until she reached Shiganshina District, managing to use her powers to sneak inside without issue. Exhausted and starving, she collapsed whilst wandering through the streets. Luckily, she collapsed in front of Keith Sadies and Grisha Jaeger. As a doctor, Grisha immediately attempted to help her. It is unknown if he recognised her straight away as his daughter or if that realisation came later, likely upon seeing her necklace.
