Hatred. That is all Clarissa (Clary) Gilbert felt for her niece. Ever since she was younger, Elena has always wanted the attention on her, and when it wasn't, she would make it. If there was something she didn't like, then it had to go, it could only be her way. But now Clary has had enough, in front of her... was Jeremy's dead body. Her nephew was dead. Because Elena couldn't accept being a vampire. Many vampires didn't chose to be vampires, they were forced, but they accepted it. Some become better people like Caroline.

But now, Clary had to leave, she had lost her sister and now her nephew, she lost the only people who cared for her. She stood up and went to her room. "Aunt Clary, where are you going?" Elena asked.

"I'm leaving. I've had enough." Clary said, grabbing a suitcase from her cupboard.

"What! You're not allowed to leave. You're my aunt." Elena demanded.

"Damn it Elena!" Clary snapped. "Not everything has to happen according to you. It can't always be your way!"

"What does that mean?" Elena asked, with the fake innocence that got her everything she wanted, but she forgot that it never worked with Clary.

Clary scoffed. "Of course, the precious princess is crying because something hasn't gone her way. You know exactly what I mean. When things aren't to your liking and only your liking, it's wrong." She spat at Elena.

"Hey, back off, she just lost her brother." Damon Salvatore decided to interject.

"I just lost my nephew, I've cared for him more than Elena ever did, more than Miranda did. I WAS HIS MOTHER! I raised him! He didn't even call me Aunt Clary; he called me mum." Clary cried. "I've lost my twin sister! I've lost my son! Because of her!" Clary pointed at Elena. "Now, I'm leaving before she gets me killed." Clary picked up her suitcase and made her way to the living room.

"Aunt Clary, that's not true." Elena said angrily, the tears had disappeared.

"Yes it is Elena. Jenna died, Jeremy died, John sacrificed himself for you, you daggered Elijah multiple times then demanded that he help save you, you forced Jeremy to kill Kol, when he didn't want to, which killed millions of vampires just so you could complete the damn map so you could get the cure. You've caused so much pain, you backstabbed Rebekah multiple times. You got Caroline killed because you refused to dump Stefan, you even got Bonnie's grams killed because Stefan was in the tomb, then you demand that she help save you multiple times. I mean, you keep switching between the damn brothers. You always get your way, if you don't, then you go crazy. It's either your way or no way."

Not liking the way she was being spoke to, Elena decided to retaliate with something she knew would hurt her aunt. "At least, my boyfriend never abandoned me. At least mum and dad loved me. At least, I'm not some freak with purple eyes and purple hair."

Clary stood right in front of Elena's face. "No, you're just a repeat born every 500 years. My boyfriend didn't abandoned me. He died. He was murdered. But at least I wasn't abandoned by my birth mother, I mean Isabel met you and she didn't want you. John could have easily raised you and gave you to his brother instead." Clary said. "I am leaving and you are not stopping me."

"You leave now. You are never allowed to return." Elena said.

"Perfect!" Clary yelled. She grabbed her suitcase and made her way to her car. She didn't start driving immediately, she just sat there for a minute and cried; cried for the loss of Jenna... and now Jeremy.

"Mum? What are you doing?" She gasped as she turned her head and saw Jeremy sitting in the passenger... but he was a ghost. Ever since she was young, Clary had always been able to see ghosts, Jenna was the only to know.

"Oh, Jeremy." She cried. "I'm so sorry sweetheart. But I can't stay here anymore, I have to leave."

"Then, I'm coming with you." Jeremy said, refusing to leave the car.

"Wouldn't you rather stay here? Where you can see Bonnie? Elena?" Clary asked.

"You are my family. I'm not leaving you. I don't want to stay here and simply observed Elena making the wrong choices over and over, the Salvatore brothers over her friends and family. I'm going with someone who will care for me, talk to me and will choose me, despite the fact that I'm dead, but someone who will choose her family." Jeremy refused and moved to sit comfortably in the passenger seat. "So, where are we going?"

"We're going to Beacon Hills."

"What's there?"

"Family." Clary said, as she started the car and drove off, passing the Goodbye Mystic Falls sign.
