The whole tournament flashed before your eyes - the comfort you'd found in Rachel again, the glances from across the room, the cuddles when no one was looking, the TikTok dances you'd failed at together, the arguments and disagreements, falling asleep in each other's room as you fell for her over and over again.

Gazing off into the distance with Rachel's words rushing around your head along with the flashbacks your lips moved without thinking. "No." your speech quiet but undeniable. "Wh-what?" She stumbled, not wanting to believe what she was hearing. "No" you confirmed your answer with more defiance this time. "Baby.." that word spoken softly with her accent hit a nerve as she drew it out and grabbed your hands again "I have a house you can move into, I can get you into Villa, we can go back to how we were" she tried to convince you into staying with her in Birmingham. "Rach, I said no" you tried to stand up but she moved next to you and put her hand on your thigh, trying desperately to do enough to make you stay. "My home is in Houston now, they're naming me captain next season and I deserve so much more than how you treated me. Your actions these past few month don't erase what you did" you said with your shoulders back and head held high. Grabbing your trophies and standing up you gave her a small smile, you're so much stronger after this that your future only looks brighter now. This tournament has made you grow in ways you could only have imagined at the beginning. "Look after yourself Daly" you said kissing the top of her head, lingering a little while before walking away - arms full of trophies and future possibilities.

Rachel didn't try to follow you, taking one last look back to see her head in her hands as Millie comforted her. She knows what she did was the biggest mistake of her life and walking away was the hardest yet strongest thing you've ever had to do.
