Jasper's tail flicked back and forth as he paced the dirty cage the men kept him in, the stench of urine hanging heavy in the air like a disgusting fog. His large ears lay flat against his head, his eyes darting around the overly saturated white room. The lights were annoyingly bright, only adding to the discomfort of being in an all white room.

The heavy metal door to his room screeched open, causing Jasper to crouch in the center of his cage as the door groaned in protest at being opened. In walked five men, dressed in white lab coats and holding clipboards. The first man to enter, whom Jasper recognized as the head scientist, opened his arms in a wide gesture to his cage.

"And this, gents, is our very own hybrid." His voice was sickeningly cheerful, and Jasper curled tighter into himself to conceal his naked body. His lips curled into a snarl as the men crowded around his cage, his eyes darting around fearfully. One of the men, looking to be in his mid twenties, reached out to stroke Jasper's tail, who turned to snap at the man's hand.

The head scientist laughed as the man yanked his hand away, Jasper's teeth nearly closing around his wrist. His fangs glistened in the bright lights as the scientist barked out, "Stand up and let my men see what a fine specimen you are!"

Knowing the consequences of if he disobeyed, Jasper stood quickly, his tail tucked tightly between his legs. The men marveled at his once-snow white fur, the small patch on his chest stained with blood, dirt and urine. "This is our prized fox hybrid, boys. He's rough around the edges, but give him a sedative and he's quite obedient."

The head scientist's voice held a disgustingly suggestive note, and it made Jasper want to retch. One of the men pointed to his crotch, and Jasper bared his teeth as he asked, "Why'd you call it a 'he' if it has female genitalia, sir?" The head scientist chuckled softly, reaching into Jasper's cage to yank his tail from between his legs.

"You're right about that, Corey. However, we've tested his hormones and can confirm he is indeed male." The head scientist held onto his tail in a painful, vice-like grip, causing Jasper to whimper quietly. "It must be something to do with being a hybrid."

A sudden commotion sounded from outside of the metal door, and the head scientist jerked on Jasper's tail and muttered to him, "Stay right here. I find out you move an inch and you're dead." As screams and gunshots sounded in the halls, the head scientist shouted to the four men, "Get out there and find out what the fuck is going on!"

Before anyone could move, however, three men in military gear burst through the door, and Jasper ducked just in time for a bullet to whiz past his head. The men clambered to get out of the room, with the head scientist lunging at a man wearing a skull mask. The stranger simply batted him away, quickly aiming his gun and ending the head scientist's life.

Nearly as soon as the commotion had started, it was quiet besides the quiet sound of footsteps echoing through the hall. The man in the skull mask turns to the door, nodding to the man who had just appeared. "Captain, place is secure. Looks like you've got another rescue to take in."

The newcomer approached Jasper's cage, frowning as he took in the fox's disheveled state. He was a hybrid, along with the other three men in the room. Jasper bared his teeth as the stranger held out his hand, a loaded syringe in his palm. "Easy there, it's just a sedative to get you back to base." Jasper pressed himself flat against the back of his cage, a low growl rumbling in his chest.

"Look, kid," the man with the skull mask rumbled. Now that he was closer, Jasper could tell he was some sort of cat hybrid, with small round ears and a long, spotted tail. "We're here to save you, and can't have you causing chaos on the ride back to base."

The man standing next to him, a wolf hybrid with a mowhawk, stepped closer to Jasper's cage. "Trust us, we wouldn't hurt you." With a flick of his tail, Jasper slowly crept closer to the man with the syringe, peering up into his eyes with trepidation.

"They're right," the man who the others had called 'captain' gestured for Jasper to press his hip against the bars of his cage. Doing so, Jasper let out a soft yip as he felt the needle plunge into his flesh. After a few minutes, his vision began to blur as the strange men cut the padlock off of his cage, opening the door and pulling him out.

Jasper could faintly hear the man with the skull mask mutter, "Jesus christ, what did they do to you.." The last thing he felt was warmth and softness enveloping him, before he slipped into unconsciousness.

Hours later, Jasper woke to find himself in a softly lit room, smaller than the one the cruel scientists had kept him in. He could hear a faint beeping sound, and raised his head with a soft grumble to look around.

He was in a small room with white walls, though the color was easier on his eyes than his cell, and the room was lit with soft yellow lights instead of the harsh LED lights he was used to. As his vision cleared further, Jasper could see the strange man who had sedated him sitting in the corner of the room, watching him intently.

"You're awake," he mumbled, standing and moving closer to Jasper. Jasper shied away from the stranger, his lip curling to reveal razor sharp fangs. "Easy, little fox. I'm not going to hurt you." Jasper watched as the man held out his wrist, making him tilt his head.

The man moved his wrist closer to Jasper's face, nodding to the scent gland located there. "Go on, smell." With a wary glance at the stranger, Jasper leaned closer and drew in a scent that he recognized.

"Alpha.." he muttered, his large ears twitching in recognition to the scent. Jasper found it calming, the fur on the back of his neck beginning to lie flat. The man nodded, drawing back and giving Jasper space.

"My name is John Price, I'm the captain of TaskForce 141. My team and I were tasked with rescuing you and any other hybrids in that facility." Jasper listened to the man, finding himself relaxing as the calming scent of an alpha wrapped itself around his mind. The man, who he now knew as John Price, moved to the end of his bed.

He soon came back with a syringe and a small vial, holding it up to Jasper. "You've been on suppressants for most of your life, I doubt you've experienced a heat before, or even know what heat is." Jasper shook his head, staring at Price as he drew up a large amount of medicine from the vial. "This will reverse the effects of the suppressants, and allow you to experience a heat cycle. You've been very sick, and this will help."

As Price moved to inject the medicine into Jasper's IV, he held up his hand and mumbled, "Wait. It's not going to hurt, is it?" Price drew back for a moment, staring at Jasper with soft eyes.

"I won't lie to you, it could hurt. But I promise, I'll stay by your side and help you through it." After a few moments of hesitation, Jasper nodded slowly, and Price injected the medicine into his IV.

**

After the medicine had kicked in, Jasper had begun to feel worse than he'd ever had. He had already gotten sick twice, and Price was hovering over him with a damp cloth in hand. "Take it easy, little fox. Just breathe through it." Price dabbed the cloth against his forehead, earning a soft, purr-like sound from Jasper.

Price had given Jasper the sweater off of his back, and the fox had it tucked tightly underneath his chin, the scent helping to keep him calm as he went through his first heat. Jasper trembled as another wave of heat crashed over him, making his stomach churn. He rolled onto his side with a groan, his tail tucked tightly between his legs as he grumbled, "This doesn't feel right.."

Price gazed down at Jasper with gentle concern, his eyes traveling down the fox's form before landing on his tail and where it was tucked between his legs. Jasper saw something flash in the alpha's eyes, but it disappeared as quickly as it came. "Move your tail for me." With a soft growl of protest, Jasper moved his tail from in between legs.

He watched as Price nodded, his eyes flicking back to Jasper's face. "I'm going to leave you alone for now, alright?" Jasper was about to protest, only to be cut off as another wave of heat crashed over him. "Do what you need to." Price mumbled as he slipped out of the room, leaving Jasper to take care of his heat on his own.
