season two // episode twenty - two ( note - this chapter doesn't follow the exact plot of the end of last episode!! )
MADISON GROANED AS SHE FLICKERED HER EYES OPEN, glancing around at the unfamiliar room. It only took her seconds to realise— this isn't her bedroom.
Madison sits up slowly, her head still slightly foggy and walked into the main area of the apartment. The moment her eyes landed on the stacked bottles of bourbon on the counter.
She can recognise the stack of bourbon anywhere, Alaric, shes in Alaric's apartment which means Klaus is somewhere near.
Madison treaded lighty to the door and tried the handle. Locked. She twisted, pulled, yanked— nothing. After what felt like forever, she gave up with a huff.
Turning around to head back into the room, she suddenly collided with a firm chest. Her eyes traveled upwards and locked with none other than Klaus Mikealson.
"Now," he drawled, a smirk slowly tugging at his lips, "where do you think you're going, love?" Madison's heart kicked up as Klaus stepped closer, backing her into the door.
"For a run?" she responded, brushing her hair out of her face like it wasn't completely obvious she was lying.
Klaus chuckled, "Nice try, love." He walked to the counter, pouring himself a bourbon, holding a glass out for Madison to accept.
She snatched it from him without hesitation and knocked it back, "Aren't you a little young to be drinking?" Klaus asked, mildly amused.
"Aren't you a little old to— i don't know, live?" Madison shot back, Klaus laughed, savoring the sip of his drink, "Touché."
"Klaus."
He turned towards her again, their eyes locking for a second time, "Yes?" Madison hesitated, "Why am i here?"
Klaus sighed, looking away for a moment, "Elijah and i brought you here after the ritual."
Maddie blinked, "Why?"
"Because you blacked out. And Elijah didn't want to leave you by yourself in the woods, plus, leverage." he says, turning on the radio.
Something in Madison's chest tugged at his words, minus the last part, but she pushed it away.
"How long was i sleeping for?" Madison asks taking a seat in-front of Klaus, "Three days." Klaus replied, finishing his drink and setting his glass by the sink.
