𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙍𝙆𝙀, 𝙁𝙄𝙉𝙉, 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝘽𝙀𝙇𝙇𝘼𝙈𝙔 𝙍𝙀𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙉 𝙏𝙊 𝘾𝘼𝙈𝙋 a few hours after the sun had risen, having spent all night looking for the pod. And when they return, it's with a woman Gray doesn't recognize. She's introduced as Raven Reyes, and that's when it hits him.

While he's never personally met Raven, he does know of her. She's ridiculously smart and is-- from what he remembers-- the youngest Zero-G Mechanic in about 50 years. Apparently, she came to earth in some suicidal attempt to see if the 100 is alive, but Bellamy got to her first and trashed her radio by throwing it into a nearby river.

Gray doesn't see anything against it, but the Ark plans to kill 320 people to make more oxygen for the rest of them. And everybody knows it'll be the working class that'll lose their lives.

It always is.

Gray's not even surprised, but he also doesn't care what happens to them. He's said it before, and he'll say it again; they've done absolutely nothing to help him so he doesn't care about any of them.

Which is why he lazily kicks at the water below him. The feeling of soaked boots and socks makes his stomach lurch, but when Carson had basically dragged him out of camp to help find the radio, he felt he had no choice but to go. He hasn't talked to Carson since they left camp, but the curly-haired boy has made sure to keep a close eye on Gray so he doesn't disappear.

Not that anyone else would let Gray leave. Clarke would be the first person to stop him-- after Carson, of course-- and she'd most likely scold him like she always does. He doesn't really feel like dealing with her today.

It's why he pretends to look for the radio, even though it's the last thing he wants to do. Out of everything, not contacting the Ark is one thing Gray and Bellamy agree on. It's in their worst interest.

For different reasons, obviously. Gray doesn't want to see or hear about his father. He'd rather Darrien Lawson think his son is dead, if the man cares at all.

Raven has been eyeing him for a while now from the bank, taking note of his lack of enthusiasm. Hands on her hips, she turns to Clarke who's sifting through the water only a few feet away. "What's wrong with that kid in the blue jacket?"

She nods her head in Gray's direction and Clarke looks up before searching the water for the person she's talking about. When she sees Gray kicking at the water with his hands in his pockets, she sighs. She knows he doesn't want to be here any more than Bellamy doesn't. But they need all the help they can get if they want to save those people from the culling. At this rate, however, they might not be able to. No thanks to Bellamy.

"Gray? He and Bellamy have the same mindset when it comes to contacting the Ark."

Raven's brows pinch together and she shakes her head. "Then why is he here?"

"Because someone dragged him here." Clarke glances down at the water again when she hits something. Squinting slightly, she realizes it's only a large rock. "I don't know if you've heard what happened between Carson Brown and Gray Lawson?"

Realization hits Raven like a truck when she processes the blonde's words. "Wait, that's the Gray that put someone in medical?"

Clarke nods, taking a quick peek at Gray. He still kicks at the water lazily and she almost wants to just tell him to go home. But they have to find this radio. And the sooner, the better.

"Hey, I found it!" Raven rushes toward a dark-skinned boy across the river. She takes the soaked radio from him and examines it to determine what can be salvaged.

Gray doesn't join them. Instead, he purses his lips and makes his way toward shore. Raven wades through the water to shore, where Gray and Bellamy stand. Once Clarke joins them, she speaks.
