Here's a thought it's all their fault

Pain isn't something that Percy is a stranger too. It's been a constant companion since he found out his father was a god more specifically the big sea god himself Poseidon.

Percy sighed as he adjusted his shoulder on the elevator door keeping them closed. The doors of death rattled as they left the hell hole known as Tartarus. His only saving grace was that Percy was able to save anabeth, his amazing and beautiful girlfriend, from the pit before he himself fell all those days ago or was it a week? Maybe a year? He didn't know gods he wished he did but time didn't really matter down here.

A sharp pain filled Percy's left leg as he remembered that he sprained it knocking him out of his thoughts and reminding him about the pain he's been through and is going through.

"gods what I'll kill for some ambrosia or even a double cheeseburger right now" Percy mumbled as he leaned his head back.

Another familiar feeling started to fill Percy at that moment another constant companion that reared its little ugly head whenever things got too dicy for him or his friends. The first time he even felt remotely like this was when Zeus was accusing him of stealing his symbol of power when Percy was twelve and barely knew what he was being thrown into. Percy tried to take a deep breath and counted to ten trying to keep it down bind it like hes done in the past as he grew into a capable hero and demigod. Though sadly as Percy grew in skill so did his RAGE.

What would have happened if Percy didn't save annabeth from that fall? Would she have survived the pit? Or would monsters be going to the surface to taunt him? She would have died down here alone he almost had and the only reason he didn't was because he was able to control the water of the hellish rivers and even the water in the blood of every living being down here.

It would have been his fault for not being quick enough. She would have fallen into the pit because of Arachne and that stupid statue of Athena's.... That's when it hit Percy like a truck he sat up he stared at his hands, red and black specks of gold covered them. His dried blood mixed with monster dust and a bit of godly blood for good measure, testaments of what he's done in Tartarus of what he's capable of doing, signs that he survived but that's not important right now what is though is what Percy just finally realized.

The rage he constantly felt since he was twelve, the pain and suffering that he's been put through that more importantly his friends, his annabeth have been put through. It all led back to one source it always did.

"It's their fault" Percy's voice barely above a whisper still echoed around the elevator. It's sound rang so loudly like the sound someone would hear from a terrible car crash. Though just like that example it's impossible to look away from the horrifying scene, Percy couldn't help but listen to his own words.

"It's the GODS fault"

He was warned that summer too though at the moment percy was more focused on the scorpion to even listen but it makes so much sense.

They are the ones that angered all these monsters, DI'IMORTALS they even created some of them. Don't even get him started on his first five years as a demigod. It could have all been avoided if the gods just made better decisions and weren't such deadbeats and claimed their children, Luke Castellan, Ethan Nakamura, Selina Beauregard, Chris Rodriguez and so many more demigods joined Kronos because of the gods neglect.

"Do not be a pawn of the Olympians, my dear" Medusa's words echoed in Percy's mind before he shook his head.

It's just the pit messing with his head bringing up all the negativity and none of the happy stuff. The gods realized their mistakes they promised on the styx to be better to claim their children and not punish unjustly like they did with Calypso

Percy nodded to himself seemingly satisfied with his self explanation.

Calypso....CALYPSO

Percy's hand tightened around riptide in its ballpoint pen form rage filling him once again as he finally realized something that the Arai told him that he later was able to confirm when he faced Akhlys.

The gods lied to him

They never released Calypso from her island no what did they do instead? They left her there making her believe that Percy forgot about her like so many others did.

They made him look like a liar.

Hera took away his memories and pushed him towards the roman camp Jupiter to be used in another world saving prophecy like some tool.

They took him away from Annabeth, his mom, his family for months without a care just so he can help the gods get back to their normal greedy selves.

No he's done he's not going to be a tool for them anymore why could they go unpunished for all their crimes? While their very own children die for their mistakes

Percy stood up and looked at his hands once more the golden ichor shining much more  brightly

"No more"

Percy will make sure the gods change. Down in Tartarus it was always kill or be killed survival of the fitist. Monsters quickly learned he shouldn't be messed with, he turned their home turf into his own play ground maybe he could do the same for Olympus? Show them that theres always bigger fishes out there than them

That they aren't above consequences

Percy smirked at the thought of it, he lazily uncapped riptide turning it into his trusty blade, one that has served him well down in the pit

The one he used to kill a goddess.

The doors dinged and slowly started to open as he shrugged off some of the pain in his shoulders as his smirk slowly grew into a large smile the first one he made since falling.

Pain isn't something that Percy is a stranger too. It's been a constant companion since he found out his father was a god. Though this time it was different as the doors of death swung open releasing Percy back into the over world. He took a step out of the elevator as he stared down a giant only a single thought filled him.

The gods will know the very same pain he had.
