Chapter 5 - Now I'm Angry

The remaining members of the group, Y/N, Anthony, Alan, Rebecca, Isabella and Anastasia, walk on through the forest.

Y/N had told the group about his conversation with Revelina and they were beyond pissed that the hunters had cheated.

But with consequences of their cheating had given them an edge and now would only need to survive a few more hours and they'll survive.

And they did grin at Hovard's death penalty for his cheating.

With this edge, it had motivated the group to continue on through the now dark forest with Y/N leading them.

As they walked, Y/N decided to ask more questions to Revelina to help pass the time.

Y/N: Hey Revelina? Out of curiosity, what would your people consider the most worthy creature to hunt?

Revelina was surprised by the sudden question, as well as the other Yautja present, but was nonetheless happy to answer.

Revelina: A good question but before I answer, may I ask why the sudden interest? Even after what happened moments ago?

Y/N nodded as he understood why she would ask about his curiosity given one of her people had just cheated.

Y/N: Well since the cheater is punished and you have compensated us for what he did I say we're good now. Plus you did say our kind was a worthy hunt but you didn't say it was the most worthy.

The Yautja was surprised he had already looked past Hovard's cheating but they now had a new found respect for the Ooman.

The girls especially.

Revelina: You surprise me Y/N that you would forgive us so soon but we are glad. To answer your question however, the most greatest foe for us to hunt would have to be the Kiande Amedha, The Serpent's.

Y/N: And what are these 'serpent's'? And how worthy would you consider them compared to us?

Revelina: Oh they are far more worthy than Oomans, so much so that we almost consider them to be an equal.

Y/N whistled at that last part.

Y/N: Damn. How are they so dangerous?

Revelina: You remember how our masks show heat signatures?

Y/N nods, remembering when he was inspecting the first dead hunters gear.

Revelina: Well you should know that they are nearly useless against them unless you use a different setting on our masks. When our weapons slice through them, our weapons will melt due to their acidic blood. Their pure black skin make it impossible for you to spot them in the dark. Dome like heads they can use to bash out your brains. A second mouth hiding in its main, delivering an instant death with one strike. A tail razor sharp that can pierce through your chest before throwing you away like nothing.

Y/N looked at the information of the 'Serpents' and he had to admit, he wasn't sure what worried him more, the hunters or the serpent's.

Revelina: But that's not what makes them so dangerous.

Y/N's eyes widen slightly.

Y/N: Something more dangerous about them?!

Revelina: They do not repopulate as we or you would, instead they use a creature we call a 'facehugger', latching onto someone or something's face and delivers it's embryo down into the host. The facehugger dies but the Serpent grows within the host until it grows big enough to burst from one's chest and run off to grow to full adulthood.
