Weeks turned into months, and still, Zeke remained in a deep coma, his body tethered to machines that monitored his every breath. Marvin's days blurred together as he kept vigil by Zeke's bedside, his heart heavy with despair and longing.

In the quiet moments of the night, when the hospital corridors were hushed and still, Marvin poured out his soul to Zeke, sharing his deepest fears and regrets. He spoke of the dreams they had once shared, the plans they had made for their future, and the love that had bound them together through thick and thin.

"You have to come back to me, Zeke," Marvin whispered into the darkness, his voice filled with anguish. "I can't do this without you. I need you here with me, more than ever."

But as the days stretched into weeks and the weeks into months, Marvin's hope began to wane. The doctors spoke of the slim chances of Zeke ever waking from his coma, and each passing day felt like a dagger through Marvin's heart.

In the depths of his despair, Marvin found solace in the memories of their love—a love that had transcended time and space, and that would endure even in the face of unimaginable hardship.

And so, with a heavy heart and tear-streaked face, Marvin made a silent vow to Zeke—a vow to keep his memory alive, to honor the love they had shared, and to carry him with him always, no matter where life's journey took him.

In the midst of Marvin's silent vigil, the rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor suddenly faltered, its steady cadence interrupted by an alarming series of blips. Marvin's heart leaped into his throat as he watched in horror as Zeke's vital signs plummeted before his eyes.

"Zeke!" Marvin cried out, his voice echoing through the sterile confines of the hospital room.

In an instant, doctors and nurses flooded into the room, their faces a blur of urgency and determination as they rushed to Zeke's side. Marvin's heart pounded in his chest as he was pushed aside, his hands shaking with fear as he watched helplessly from the sidelines.

"Clear!" someone shouted, and Marvin flinched as a jolt of electricity coursed through Zeke's body, sending it convulsing on the bed.

Time seemed to stand still as the medical team worked tirelessly to revive Zeke, their efforts a frantic dance of life and death. Marvin's breath caught in his throat as he prayed for a miracle, his entire being consumed by a desperate need for Zeke to pull through.

And then, in a moment that felt like an eternity, there was a sudden shift in the room—a collective intake of breath, a hushed silence that hung heavy in the air.

***Today (March 31, 2024)

In the tranquil moments of their everyday life, Zeke and Marvin found solace in the simple pleasures of their routine. Mornings were filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of Ethan's infectious laughter as he bounded into their room, eager to start the day with his parents.

"Good morning, my little sunshine!" Marvin would exclaim, scooping Ethan up into his arms and planting a kiss on his cheek. "Did you have sweet dreams?"

Ethan would giggle and nod enthusiastically. "Yes, Daddy! I dreamt that I was flying with superheroes!" he'd exclaim, his eyes shining with excitement.

As the sun rose over the horizon, Zeke and Marvin would sit together at the kitchen table, savoring their breakfast while Ethan regaled them with tales of his latest adventures at school.

"Daddy, you won't believe it!" Ethan would say, his face lighting up as he recounted his day. "Today, we learned about dinosaurs, and I got to be a T-Rex in our class play!"
