Fairy Wings

Chapter 1: Mushroom Caps

Once opon a time, in an enchanted forest, a little blonde mushroom fairy was out searching for mushrooms to make new clothes for her siblings, as their old red mushroom tops were wearing out. The little fairy was collecting specially small mushroom tops, as it was quite difficult to make clothes out of the thicker tops back home. Little did She know, she was being followed. Someone in the shadows watched her wonder the forest floor peacefully. Fairies knew very little about the dangers of the world because nature was very kind to them and only offered them love and kindness. Just as the fairy was about to grab a perfect shroom cap, someone jumped out from behind a leaf and knocked her back, ripping her left wing from being thrown down, as fairy wings are extremely fragile. She could not fly away to safety and was forced to crawl away from the mysterious attacker.

"Who are you?" The mystery creature asked with a soft yet harsh voice, pinning the fairy down to the ground on her stomach with a vine laced wood staff digging into her lower back, an ash colored cloak shadowing their features.

"My name is Miefy! Please let me go, I don't mean any harm!" The fairy said with a panicked voice, her broken wing lay limp behind her as the still fully in tacked one fluttered wildly.

"You shouldn't be here, if it were someone else you would have been killed off a while ago." The person lifted their staff and grabbed the fairies arm, pulling her up to her feet easily. The person seemed to tower over Miefy by a couple centimeters.

"And who are you?" Miefy asked, "What are you?" The person let go of her arm and pulled their hood down, to show the scarred face of an elf girl.

"Call me D, that's all you need to know. We need to get you back into your forest." The elf said, walking off to lead the way back to the fairies forest.

"So.. D, do you come around here much?" Miefy had been asking questions for the passed fifteen minutes, walking beside D with her hands behind her back, "Is there a reason you're all, dark and cloaked up like something is going to eat you if you don't hide in the shadows?" She hopped up in front of D, standing on her tip toes with a doey innocence in her eyes. D stopped mid tracks and pushed the fiary out of her face, reaching up and grabbing her moss scarf and pulling it up over her face as she continued passed, avoiding all her questions.

"Here, this is where I drop you off. That's your forest" The elf stopped and pointed ahead, into a brighter forest.

"Why don't you come with me? Are you like, grounded from going into our forest?" Miefy asked, laughing lightly at her little joke.

"No, but- Ugh! Never mind, just go before they see y-" Just on cue as D said this warning someone interrupts her, multiple rather hideous rotting wood creatures come out from the leaves and bushes around them.

"Is that D I see? Where have you been, and who's your little friend?" One of them askes, he seems to tower high over everyone else at about two times the size of the fairy.

"Shit.." D muttered, grabbing Miefy's arm and pulling the fairy behind herself, holding out her staff defensively in front of the two.

A/N: HI! I started to write this story in the chat of a Tiktok video that made me stay there until I got a notification. I kinda wrote it to ocupy myself and anyone else that got stuck there :) But, I took a liking to the little story and ended up copying and pasting it all here so I could continue and make it a full thing. ^^ I'm still dealing with writers block rn, so I won't continue right now, but I'll send the next chapter as soon as I get ideas ^w^ BYE!(It's been in my drafts for a while cause I kinda forgot about it lol)
