CHAPTER 18

Luhan mops his way towards a corner, on the lasrt shelf.
When he came there a book suddenly dropped from nowhere.
He look up and saw nothing.

He slowly picked it up and blow the dust away.

"Ugh.." he grimaced when he inhaled some dust and cough a little. He rubbed his nose. *What could this be?* he asked himself.

He got the damp cloth from his side and wipe the hard bound plastic cover.

DIARY he read. He frowned, "How could a diary came here?" he talked to himself. He peek out to check if Shi Rin is busy.

When he assures that she is, he went to a croner and there he sit and starts opening the diary.

Dated January 15, 1992
I was walking on the sea shore when something caught my attention. I walk near it out of curiosity. And when I am nearing, I noticed it wasn't just simply SOMETHING but a SOMEONE. I slowly creep into it, the thing is playing behind a rock. A child. A boy. A boy that lives deep in the sea. Why did I know? How? I don't know myself but I could feel that he isn't human. And so, I walk towards him slowly. But the boy heard him. The boy hatily turn around and the face showing the expression of shock didn't move a muscle. I reached out my hand to him and caressed his cheeks. But then, he shove them away and scrumbled back to the waters. I was feeling disappointed so I only look at him from the distance. He is now swimming away, back to his home maybe. I decided to go back home too. Hoping to see him again.

Luhan sighed heavily. It was his mother's diary. And somehow, he felt familiar with the boy in that entry.

He went back on the date, it is 1992 so he's around 1 year old that time.

He went on reading. This time, he skipped some of the entries and he stopped on a certain date.

April 20, 1992.

He stopped breathing for a while. Somehow, he forgot how to breath and gasped sharply.

Here I am again walking on the shores. And it has been a long time since I saw that boy. I came back here often. Hoping to see him behind that big rock. I continued walking as I enjoyed myself with the sea breeze. And then, there is this something again I saw from a distance. I doubted if it is the same boy I had seen that day. I ran to its side and gasped upon recognizing it. It was the boy! He's bleeding. He had some injuries on his back since he's facing the earth. Meaning, he's lying and his back facing upward. I slowly turn him around and stared at him closely. His face is full of bruises. I didn't mind him being naked since I am used to it. And hell, I'm a married person. I took her inside my home and cure his injuries. I waited for him to wake up.

Luhan heard some coughing noise, more than like 'AHEM.'
He abruptly closed the diary and threw it on his back.

Shi Rin walk near him and her hands were on her waist.

"You're slacking Lulu." she said seriously. Her face is not showing the innocent Shi Rin anymore.

He gulped. He had never seen her like this. Being serious and scary at all.

He slowly stand up and kicked expertly the diary away.

"Well, I got tired a little. And it was just for a minute. You just caught me not on time." he said and flashed a nervous smile.

*Shit! Why do this girl get into my nerves! She's controlling me.* he thought.

Shi Rin eyed him suspiciously and slowly walks away.

"If you say so.." then off she go. Luhan heave a sigh of relief.
