Whispers from the orchids

The bobos ran around the meadows with their cotton ball bodies and slender mouse legs. They would whisper to each other in tongues as their little races up and down the drinking pond caused for other little creatures to join in. What was the talk? What were they in such a stir about today that seemed unfamiliar from all the other days?

Maybe the bobos know something more than what meets the eye. see the bobos are good listeners, so good they can listen up to hundreds of thousands of feet away and gather information to then dwell in it among each other like children sharing a new favorite toy. If you wanted to find something out, just send a bobo for a fair trade of strawberry cheese and they'll ease drop on the ones you don't want the notice from.

That's when the fealing Fenris had awoken to the whispers of the bobos in his ear, telling him "you must wake up, they are waiting for you" and "don't lose your track of time, the grains of sand are slipping from times slope."

{Fenris} "what...who's that."

He said as his eyes woke to the sight of the small little critters on his chest. He'd gently rub them off as they scurried away into the forest, leaving the words repeating in his mind as his brain seemed to spin. He'd woken up at his usual time with a big stretch. He'd begin his strole of the meadows as his eyes seemed to be met with haze and the whispers he heard from the bobos seemed to ring in his head again.

'What could any of it mean..'

He thought as he made his way through the gnome village. they all unexpectedly didn't greet Fenris this time. He even stopped for a moment before glancing at them with blinking eyes before continuing to walk as he could hear them whisper among each other. The more he walked his trial all of the usual people he'd get greetings from seemed to glance at him and scurry away, but not in a running but in a 'oh I just remembered I had this to do' type of way added with the unusual whispers as he passed. He didn't ask but he knew something was up and it was going around. Fenris attempted to clear his mind as he continued on with his walk. He'd begin a trail towards the singing stones as after a while he'd reach a point where the ground had became rocky and it led uphill from where he walked. Once there he'd be met with large standing pillars of stone as they'd be carved with digits that seemed to hum with a vibration.

The idea was that these stones sent messages that one could go up to and speak into to deliver, almost like one dropping off mail at a post office to send to friends. These stones are also located all over the land and they'd glow depending on the color from which and who it came from.

But to Fenris surprise, there was no message that was sent by anyone

But to Fenris surprise, there was no message that was sent by anyone. And sure he could just ask but.. he wanted to find out for himself. He'd lay a hand on one of the stones as it gently hummed as he closed his eyes as he shared a moment of silence before walking away from the stones as he continued his walk. As the day went on and he continued to walk through the meadows, he'd reach a point where the forest had left him and he'd only walk valleys. If he'd know of somehow who might know then he was hopefully going in the right place.
