Veronica x Fem Reader (playin the role of JD)
Veronica's POV
I walked into the 7/11 with the Heathers waiting outside for me. "Don't forget the corn nuts! It's not a party without corn nuts!!" Heather C. Yelled.
I sighed and yelled back. "Plain or B.Q?!"
"B.Q!!!!" She screamed.
Suddenly a figure appeared from behind the counter, smirking at me, "want a slushy with that?" He asked in a teasing tone.
"Uh no thanks just this." He sighed in disappointment. "You go to 7/11 and you don't get a slushy?" I laughed awkwardly. "So..what's your name anyway?" I asked the same mystery girl who had gotten into that fight the other day.
"Julia Dean." She snorted, Dean...I recognized that name from somewhere I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. Julia seemed to read my puzzled expression as she spoke. "Big bud Dean construction crew, you build it we break it?" She asked with a laugh.
"Oh! I knew I knew that name from somewhere!"She laughed again. "Are you new to this school?" I asked, "I would remember you if you've been here all 4 years." I joked.
"I've been through about 10 Highschools, they start to get blurry." She added, taking a sip of her slushy, 10 high schools?!?
"No point planning routes if you're gone in a hurry you know?" I nodded in agreement.
"That must be hard, always moving." I sympathized. She nodded, "My dad keeps two suitcases packed in the den so it's only a matter of when." She joked. I laughed a bit.
She continued to ramble about how she doesn't really make a lot of friends and the only place she can trust is a 7/11, the only stability in her life.
She offered me a sip of her slushy, "Freeze your brain Veronica, take a sip." She said, gesturing to the cup in her hands.
"Does your mommy know you eat all that crap?" I chuckled. She gave me a soft smile.
"Nope! Not anymore.." I looked at her confused, wanting her to continue. "When mom was alive we lived halfway normal."
Oh my fucking god, her mom died?!
"Now it's just me and my dad, we're...I don't know a bit less formal.." She smiled and looked up thinking about what to say next.
"I learned to cook pasta, oh! And I learned to pay rent," She spoke out loud, then under her breath she mumbled a few words. "Learned the world doesn't owe you a cent..."
She chimed back up again, "You're planning your future, Veronica Sawyer, you'll go to some fancy college and probably marry a lawyer." She stated.
"Very stereotypical of you to assume that!" I spoke a little offended. "The sky's gonna hurt when it falls, so you better start building some walls." Julia suggested. I rolled my eyes, what does that even mean.
We went back and forth for a bit until Heather C. Honked the car horn. "Veronica!!!!" She yelled. I smiled at Julia. "I don't really like my friends..." I joked.
She smiled at me. "I don't really like your friends either." I smiled at him and was about to leave before I stopped in my tracks and turned around to see her already starring at me.
I quickly ran up to her and kissed her on the lips, they were soft and sweet, a little cold too. "What was that for?" She laughed.
"You learned to cook pasta and pay rent right? Might as well learn how to kiss too."
