''...stop doubting and believe,,

The moon glows blue behind Rin as his flames dance in the night wind. The Koma sword shines a bright, brilliant blue as well, sharp enough to vanquish the ghouls that had knocked Tsumi to the candle-lit stone sidewalk.

"Hold it right there, bitches!!!!" Rin shouts with a determined look in his eyes. He flips in the air and slashes at the ghouls. "Burn in hell, motherfucker!" A wave of blue fire turns the army of ghouls into nothing more than specks of dust and as the sun starts to shine over the horizon. Rin sheathes his katana and the flames on his body extinguish themselves.

"Rin," Tsumi's sweet voice sings behind him. He turns around and holds his hand out, helping up off the ground. He's much taller than her- her head would fit right up against his chest if she were to hug him. "You saved my life!"

"No worries, m'lady," Rin says smoothly. "Just doin' my job." Tsumi leaps forward and throws her arms around his neck.

"You're so brave and cool and strong!" She tells him. Rin's classmates appear around the two of them clapping and congratulating him on saving the poster girl of the cram school. "You're the best Exorcist in the whole world!!!"

"Hahahaha," Rin chuckles with gusto. Tsumi pulls away from him and gazes into his eyes with her own big brown ones in a hypnotized trance. "You flatter me, Tsumi."

"Rin, I've been in love with you for forever!" Tsumi cries. "Let's go out on a date right now! We can get sukiyaki!"

"But of course my love," Rin says making Tsumi swoon with stars in her eyes. "Anything for you..."

"Yay!!!!!" Their classmates start cheering and doing the Macarena.

"Oh my God, is that Yukio with his secret stash of shiny rocks behind you, Rin?" The boy turns around to see his brother with a proud smile holding a decorated Sonic the Hedgehog themed shoebox full of shining crystals.

"These are all for you!!!" Yukio says with an unusually deep, but enthusiastic voice. "Wake the fuck up, bitch!"

"OKUMURA!!!"

"ROCKS!!!" The boy's eyes fly open and he breathes heavily, putting a hand on his chest to still his pounding heart. Tsumi snickers into her hand beside him.

"If you don't intend to pay attention, you're free to leave anytime," the old professor drawls out.

"Yes sir, sorry sir, sorry about that, sir..." Rin stammers with his brain still scrambled. He leans back in his seat and glances at Shiemi, who sits nervously in her seat, then to Tsumi, who smirks at him. "Shush," he mutters.

"I didn't say anything!" Tsumi whispers. "We're on page seventy-two." She taps on his book with a painted blue fingernail that matches the color of her uniform sweater.

"Now as I was saying..." The scripture teacher continues his lecture and Rin flips to the right page. He hears a grumbling voice behind him and glances over his shoulder.

"Why the fuck is he even here?" Ryuji growls under his breath. Rin hears it anyway and nudges Tsumi.

"What is his problem with me?" The black haired boy asks her as quietly as he can.

"Who, Suguro?" Tsumi whispers back, carefully watching their teacher out of the corner of her eye. Rin nods, taking another glance behind him at Ryuji's snarling face.
