"Tis cold in my tent," Morrigan said coyly as Theron turned to leave after helping her get the tent set up.
"Pardon?" he looked at her, confused. "If you give it a moment, it should warm up?"
Morrigan smiled knowingly, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Oh, but I do not mind the cold," she purred, stepping closer to Theron. "There are other ways to warm oneself, don't you agree?"
Theron furrowed his brow, still oblivious to her advances. "Ah, yes, a fire would be nice. I'll fetch some more wood."
Morrigan's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure.
"Or perhaps," she suggested, her voice dropping to a sultry whisper, "we could find another way to generate heat together."
Theron blinked, finally catching on to her meaning. His cheeks flushed, and he took a step back, shaking his head. "I... I think it's best if I just tend to the fire."
Morrigan's expression hardened, and she straightened up, a flicker of annoyance crossing her features.
"As you wish," she replied coolly, turning away to hide her disappointment.
She watched as he returned to the main group, speaking briefly with Sten before taking a seat beside Shehar at the fire.
Morrigan's eyes narrowed as she observed Theron's easy camaraderie with Shehar. She felt a pang of jealousy twisting in her chest, a sensation she was not accustomed to nor particularly fond of. Shehar was an intriguing woman, she admitted begrudgingly, with her grace and quiet strength drawing Theron's attention effortlessly. But Morrigan couldn't help but feel a surge of possessiveness over Theron, a feeling she hadn't experienced before. She chided herself silently for allowing such emotions to cloud her judgement. After all, Theron was free to choose his company, and she had no claim over him. Still, the sight of him laughing with Shehar stirred something unsettling within her, a feeling she struggled to name.
But as much as she refused to bow to her mother's whims...convincing Theron to lay with her was now more than about the child. She wanted him.
