About a few hours later, Marco wakes up around maybe 4:00pm. He yawns, he rubs his eyes but stays in his bed. "I can't wait for her one day...I have no clue who she is, but I can't wait for the day I meet her." He said to himself. He always believed in soulmates and true love, though there was never a sign of it. He wanted to escape being Prince. He didn't wanna be the king one day. "Everybody wants to be royalty until they see how much it sucks." He sighs, muttering to himself. His dog, Regalo, was peacefully sleeping at the edge of Marco's bed. He knew he deserved better than this, he knew that others would call him selfish, but he just wanted to be normal, if he were to be king, he wanted to be king of a beautiful forest of only a few people. But that would never happen sadly. He turns around on his bed, switching from side to side and looking at his pills he forgot to take. "Meh, not like they did me any good anyways." He sighs. He felt like he needed to cry, being lonely everyday wasn't the best, it just made him depressed. He grabs his pillow and pulls his face into it, and then starts crying, nobody ever noticed his cries, nobody even cared about him. He just was on his own, the only person by his side was his dog, Regalo. But little did he know everything was bound to change soon.

Marco eventually stopped crying, he gets up and looks in the mirror. He hated the way he looked, the way his skin looked even thought
it was beautiful. He hated himself due to the verbal abuse from his family. The tears in his eyes started welling up again. His dog, Regalo, goes by him and she licks his cheek. Marco chuckles and pets her. "It's alright girl..." he chuckles. Marco sighs. "I wish we could get out of here." Marco mumbles. Regalo just barks, it wasn't playful though, it was a bunch of barks until the guards came up and took Regalo. "WAIT WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HER?!" Marco asked as he yelled. One guard had a look of guilt on his face. "Look I'm sorry kiddo, king's orders are that we have to put the dog down." Guard one said. Marco wasn't having that, he ran to Regalo and grabbed her. "Please, don't take her!" Marco cried out. "Sorry kid, we'll loose our jobs if we don't." Guard 2 said with absolute no guilt or sympathy whatsoever. Marco ran down the stairs with Regalo and left the palace. "I'll come back for you one day, I promise..." Marco said, tears leaving his eyes and streaming down his cheeks. He put Regalo in the hands of this guy who lived in the kingdom in a small cottage, his name was Travis. Travis sold old goods like old stories and such. "Stay safe kid." Travis said as he took the dog as Marco requested. Marco just nodded and ran back to the palace, only for guards to be standing there with his mother completely stabbed on the floor and his father behind the guards. "Take him down to the dungeon!" King Jacob yelled. The guards did as he said, all of them didn't have a problem with it except the tallest guard. He still did it anyways. His mother had her throat split open and her stomach had 13 knives in it. Marco counted.

After he was thrown in the dungeon with stab wounds on his arms and legs, he was basically left there to rot. Marco didn't cry, he just smiled as the slash from his father's knife on his cheek spilled blood. The guards left and he just plopped down on the ground, his head making a thud. "Crap..." Marco whispered to himself. He felt like he was gonna bleed out, that was, until a light came. Marco's eyes widened. Was that really...the girl he dreamed of?!
