Meeting the Family

I get out of the car and open the door for Rose. Rose takes my hand smiling and leads me into this beautiful giant house with big windows everywhere. We go upstairs and pass graduation caps. A lot of graduation caps. "How many times have you graduated?" I ask Rose. "Too many times to count." She laughs and tugs on my hand up the stairs. We get to the top and a blonde man with a welcoming smile is standing there with a woman with brown hair and warm welcoming smile as well. The woman walks right up to us and hugs Rose then me. I try not to wrinkle my nose at the smell. Too sweet. "Welcome to the family! We're so happy that Rosalie has found her mate! I'm Esme and this is Carlisle, Rosalie's parents for all intents and purposes." I smile and thank her. Carlisle shakes my hand and hugs Rosalie. "Welcome! It's so wonderful that you've found each other." Carlisle smiles at us. "Come sit down! Have you eaten yet?! I could cook you something?" Esme says. I thank her but decline having already eaten at home. We sit down on the pristine couches in the living room. "Where's the rest of your family?" I ask. "They all went hunting but should be back soon." Carlisle says. "Speaking of FAMILY...Rowan would like to make our family her pack. Right honey?" Rosalie says. Rose rubs my back as I speak. "Right. I left Sam's pack. He and his pack think I'm a freak and shouldn't have imprinted on a vampire. But wolves are a pack animal and so here I am. Looking to join your coven." I say. "We will have to include you in the treaty but as long as that goes smoothly as possible I don't see why not." Carlisle says. Esme claps her hands in excitement. "This means I can cook for you?!" She exclaims. "You're welcome to cook for me anytime Mrs. Cullen." I say. "Esme. Mrs. Cullen is too formal for family." Esme says. I nod. "What if those dogs don't cooperate with us about the treaty? No offense honey." Rosalie says. "Then we'll have to move. And Rowan can join us wherever we move to when she turns 18." Carlisle says. "You wouldn't have to wait for long. My birthday is coming up on November 22nd." I tell him. Rose looks at me in surprise. "And why am I just now hearing about this?! I have so much to do! So much to plan!" Rose exclaims. I gently kiss her quick on the lips and she calms down a little. "As long as I get to spend my birthday with you I don't care about anything else love." She beams at me and kisses me long and hard on the lips. The door bursts open while we're kissing and Emmett speeds into the living room. "That's it! Get some of that Rowan!" We part laughing. Alice and Jasper come up the stairs smiling at us. Jasper and Emmett both give me bro hugs and Alice gives me a hug. Then Edward trudges up the stairs glowering. "Why is the mutt here? Did it get lost?" Everyone says "Edward" and a few growl at him. "Edward! You have better manners than that!" Esme says. "You will need to get used to Rowan being around son. She is now apart of this family. And you will treat this family with respect." Carlisle says. Edward looks taken back that he was told to be respectful. He nods to Carlisle and apologizes. "I'm sorry Rowan and Rosalie." He then speeds upstairs to his room I'm assuming. Emmett gets excited again and challenges me to a game of Call of Duty. I look to Rosalie and she says, "It's up to you." I nod and say "You're on Emmett!" We sit down and Rosalie sits beside me leaning on me as I sit and play with Emmett. Jasper and Alice sit and watch us play and cheer me on. "Alice is the only one that can beat Emmett in this game. It'd be nice if someone was able to kick his ass that can't see the future." Jasper says. Just as he says this I kick Emmett's ass. I sniper shot him. Didn't see it coming. "Ah man! How'd you do that?!" Emmett says. Carlisle had left for a bit but came back into the room. "Rowan, I called Billy the chieftain, has agreed to meet at the border to discuss the treaty in a half hour. Would you like to join me to discuss the treaty?" I nod and stand up from the couch. "I need to come. It's my duty to see this through." I say. Rosalie stands up and says "Where Rowan goes I go." Emmett and Jasper and Alice get up as well and say they'd like to go just to be sure the wolves don't try anything. Esme walks through the door from the kitchen with a bag of cookies. "Here these are for you Rowan. I made them this morning. Carlisle dear, I'm coming as well." She says. Edward comes downstairs. "I guess you'll need a mind reader there to communicate with the wolves." He says glumly. "Ok, thank you all for coming together as a family with us. Let's get going then." Carlisle says. And we make our way outside. I get behind a tree and take my clothes off. Rose comes with me and puts my clothes in a backpack she brought along. I kiss her quick on the lips and her cute nose then I step back and phase. I trot over to Emmett and tackle him over. We tussle a bit till Carlisle calls for us to follow. "Race you?!" Emmett says and speeds off to the border. I quickly follow with Rosalie by my side.
